BBC’s hit show The Traitors is back on our screens and the new series has already proved to be a hit – especially contestant Armani. Here’s everything you need to know about her
BBC One’s The Traitors returned to screens with a bang yesterday.
The smash hit programme follows 25 strangers as they battle it out in the Scottish Highlands to win the £120,000 prize money, and viewers are particularly invested in Armani, a 27-year-old London-based Financial Investigator.
Traitors have to kill off fellow players without being caught, while the Faithfuls have to work out who the Traitors are and banish them, before becoming their next victim. Episode one pulled the curtain back on Armani and her sibling Maia. In a twist of fate, Armani was handpicked by Claudia Winkleman to join the ranks of Traitors alongside Linda and Minah.
It wasn’t the smoothest start for Armani, who fans lashed out at on Wednesday because they were convinced she spoke too much and would give up the game.
Writing on X, formerly Twitter, one person said: “Armani has got to be the worst Traitor of all time. STOP talking!” Another echoed: “Armani is doing too much I fear. If you keep going group to group and throwing names out, people will get suspicious.”
Other comments included: “Armani being the most obvious traitor is killing me off, hold it together girly,” and “Armani and Linda are terrible game players and terribly obvious traitors.”
Whether or not Armani can stay under the radar is yet clear, and her online footprint is just as mysterious. From her legal expertise to a blossoming music enterprise and sparkling engagement, here’s everything you need to know about Armani.
Musical background
Armani doesn’t just crunch numbers; she’s a singer too. Her first song dropped in August, a collaboration with music wizard Mikey B.
Taking to Instagram with a preview of her dance moves and melodic chops, she excitedly announced: “OUT TOMORROW. ARMVNI and Mikey B – Hold Me Close. Pre-Save now.”
Her debut track Hold Me Close is a bubbly dance anthem that harks back to the early 2000s hits, showcasing her solid singing skills.
Secret fiancé
Armani confirmed online in July that she’s engaged. She’s often seen posting cute snaps with her beau on her social media feeds, yet the mystery man’s identity remains a secret as she has never revealed his name or tagged him.
Not long after they got engaged, the loved-up couple celebrated their second anniversary in August with a fun-filled day at London’s Notting Hill Carnival. In a heartfelt tribute, she shared: “You are my everything in this world and I thank God every day that I’m your girl.”
Legal career
On the professional front, Armani boasts a strong legal pedigree; she graduated from law school and was called to the Bar in February 2022.
To mark her graduation, she uploaded photos clad in her barrister’s robes and traditional wig, celebrating the momentous occasion.
The star of BBC One didn’t hold back on declaring it as one of her “greatest achievements of my life”, acknowledging the “hours, hard work and tears” that went into achieving her goal.
