Beat mobile provider April price hikes with Sky’s half-price data plans

By staff1 April 2025No Comments3 Mins Read

Sky is offering customers the chance to save on a variety of six-month data plans

Households will see price hikes on a variety of bills from today (April 1), however Sky is giving customers the chance to save on their mobile phone data by offering a selection of half-price SIM plans for six months. Included is the 50GB, 10GB, and 3GB data plans, with prices starting from as little as £10 a month.

Sky’s Unlimited data option has received a smaller discount, while the 100 MB GB plan remains at its usual price. O2, EE, Three and Vodafone are among the mobile phone providers increasing bills from today, with Sky being one of the few mobile providers not to increase their prices – as long as you aren’t out of contract.

Although Sky’s plans are often lengthier which can be off-putting for shoppers, it’s reassuring to know bills won’t increase. Sky is going against the curve to help customers save in what will be an expensive time for many by offering a variety of data plans for half price for the first six months.

For shoppers who don’t require much data, Sky’s 100 MB plan is the usual price of £5 a month, however for just £1 more customers can now get 3 GB, with this package reduced from £10 to £6. The provider’s 10 GB data plan usually costs £14 a month and has been slashed to £7, while the 50 GB option is now £10, down from £20.

For customers who use a lot of data, Sky’s Unlimited plan has received a small discount, now priced at £25 a month for six months instead of the usual £29. This is cheaper than EE’s Unlimited All Rounder Plan which is currently on offer for £27 a month for a 24-month contract. Sky’s sale price also beats Vodafone’s Unlimited Plus Data Plan price of £30 for a 24-month contract.

All of Sky’s data plans include unlimited calls and texts, are 5G network ready and provide 99% UK network coverage. It’s worth noting, however, that the Sky data plan will return to full price after the six month period and has to be a 12-month minimum term. The data plan price may also increase during the new minimum term.

Sky’s SIM plans come with a number of perks, with any unused data rolling over or customers can choose to swap it for a range of rewards. Users can also change their data plan whenever they wish. You can browse all of Sky’s half price data plans here.
