Jennifer Lopez starred in Ben Affleck’s new movie ‘Unstoppable’ but her image was left out of the poster, and her name was listed last among the credits above the title
A poster for Ben Affleck’s new movie “Unstoppable” has dealt a cruel blow to Jennifer Lopez after the couple announced their divorce.
The movie, which is being released on December 6, is a sports drama telling the true story of Anthony Robles, an American athlete born with one leg who won the 2011 NCAA individual wrestling national championship. Ben is one of the producers of the film in which Jennifer stars as the wrestler’s mother.
But a poster for “Unstoppable” has seemingly dealt a blow to the 55-year-old actress and singer, who wasn’t pictured on it, and had her name listed last on the credits above the title. The movie is set to debut at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival in Canada on Friday.
According to reports, Jennifer will attend the premiere, but Ben won’t be there. It has been claimed that movie bosses were pushing for the pair to appear together at the film festival to give “Unstoppable” a publicity boost, but this won’t happen.
The film was made by Ben’s production company Artists Equity, which he co-founded with his longtime friend Matt Damon. The former couple also worked on another movie together, “Kiss of the Spider Woman”, which has also been produced by Ben’s company.
It comes after the Hollywood couple called it quits back in April after almost two years of marriage, but kept their split secret until Jennifer filed court papers on August 20 – the date of their second wedding anniversary – confirming the relationship was over. The pop superstar was engaged to Hollywood actor Ben in the early 2000s but the relationship ended shortly before they were due to tie the knot.
However, they got back together in 2021 before tying the knot in two ceremonies in 2022 – one in Las Vegas and one in Georgia. The divorce filing came exactly two years after the couple’s extravagant second bash on August 20, 2022. The divorce filing lists the official date of their separation as April 26, 2024.
A source previously told PEOPLE that Jennifer took the move to file for divorce because she knows it’s time to “move on” but she’s still very “sad” that the marriage is over. The insider explained: “[She knows] it’s time to move on” for various reasons …
“She’s very disappointed and sad, but Ben hasn’t given her any signs that he wants to continue their marriage. He hasn’t shown any commitment and interest in making their marriage work. It’s gotten to the point that she just needs to look out for herself.”
Yesterday, Jennifer and Ben had a tense reunion as they were both spotted at the office building they share in Los Angeles. J Lo was seen at the office with her mum, Guadalupe Rodríguez, after the mother and daughter duo went for lunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Jennifer looked bright as she wore a dark green top and skirt which she paired with a hot pink designer bag, green heels and large sunglasses. She went for a full glam makeup look and styled her hair in loose waves.
Meanwhile, Ben was seen leaving the office building while wearing a light pink shirt with a grey blazer. This was the first time that the pair have been seen in the same place since their divorce was announced last month.
