The viral cups often come with a high price tag, but some stores are offering discounts during the Black Friday sales
There’s a good chance you’ve seen a Stanley Cup at some point over the last few years. The viral beverage holder has grown in popularity globally and is praised for its stylish design, capacity and strength.
In a world where people are trying to limit the amount of disposable plastic they use, it’s no surprise that a reusable bottle is fast becoming an essential item. However, what often puts people off is the price tag, as not many can justify spending upwards of £40 on a cup.
However, some stores have offers this Black Friday, which reduces the cost a little. Making now the best time to bag a bargain for anyone hoping to gift a Stanley on this Christmas.

Certain shades of the Stanley Quencher, which holds an impressive 1.2 litres, can be bought from John Lewis. Some remain priced at £44.95 but there are options – including Shale Green and Black – that are lowered to £36 (saving almost £9).
The Ash variety of the Stanley Quencher can be found reduced on FootAsylum from £45 down to £34.99 (nearly £10 off). The sale price also applies to the Cream Tonal version too – which is very similar to one seen in the hands of Love Island’s Molly-Mae Hauge.
Elsewhere, Urban Outfitters has the same Rose Quartz Stanely as used by Set Fire to the Rain singer Adele on offer. It should cost £45 but is down to £33 for a limited-time Black Friday deal. The retailer also has the Lilac version reduced to the same amount too.
For those looking at more elusive colours, Fenwick is offering the Blue Spruce and Plum options. The full collection of Quencher cups on Fenwick’s site has been knocked down from £45 to £36.
Customers have been raving about their Stanley purchases online, leaving rave reviews on sites like Amazon. One said: “I was initially reluctant to spend this much on what is essentially a water bottle, but now I get it! The Stanley water cup truly lives up to the hype. It keeps water at the same cool, refreshing temperature for hours—even when I took it into a sauna.”
Another added: “This is great for when working long 12-hour shifts in healthcare for both water and hot drinks like hot chocolate. I love it!” A third commented: “Amazing, definitely makes me drink more. Looks good and built well!”
However, a few were not pleased. Some claimed the cups leaked. Someone shared: “There is no mention of it only being leakproof when in the fully closed position. So, if you bought it for a child and were expecting it to withstand being knocked over without it spilling you’d be mistaken. Even in the fully closed leakproof position, it leaks. Just drips, but that’s still a leak!”
For those wanting alternatives to the pricey Stanely, there are dozens of copycat tumblers out there. On Amazon, you can pick up this Love Clarabelle 40oz Tumbler with Straw & Lid for £16.99 which could pass for a Stanley at a glance.
Also, this ICYBLAZE 40oz Tumbler comes in three colours – including some striking pinks. Starting from £19.99, this travel mug features a “robust, leak-proof lid” making it perfect for taking on the go.
