With Christmas over for another year and New Year’s Eve here already, everyone’s getting ready to see the onset of ‘New Year, New Me’ posts on social media, signalling the start of change. Whether its a change in old habits when it comes to relationships, your fitness journey, or the kindness you give yourself, it’s an exciting period to hit reset on all things not serving you best.
While many people may take up running or even kick off Vegan-uary to help get their physical health in check, starting healthy habits and mechanisms to help your mental wellness is an equally as important measure to make 2025 your best yet.
Whether it’s adding a 10 minute meditation into your schedule, journaling before bed to get all those worries down on paper, taking time to be present while brushing your teeth, or trying out cold water therapy with an ice bath, there are a whole host of ways to add some tranquillity to you life.

Hypnotherapist and founder and CEO of wellbeing stationary brand LSW London, Lili Sinclair-Williams explained the importance of finding a moment of calm in your day. She said: “In an increasingly technology-driven world, our work, social, and personal lives demand constant screen time. Our minds are not designed to be perpetually “on” and now, more than ever, it’s essential to slow down, disconnect and focus on healthy, tech-free habits.”
She added: “Looking after your mind does not need to take time out of your day. By turning everyday tasks into mindful rituals, you can learn to switch off and be fully present in the moment. For example, the next time you brush your teeth, focus on each of your senses… Use these two minutes to switch off from the world, clear your mind and concentrate on this one action. It’s something you already do but you’ve now created a moment of mindfulness – helping to reduce stress, improve concentration and enhance your mental wellbeing.”
With figures on Google Trends skyrocketing for the term ‘wellness’ over the last few years, it’s clear to see that we all want to add some zen into our busy lifestyles. And while it’s not always easy to switch off, there are certain mechanisms you can put in place to help you get into calm state of mind. Sometimes there are tools we can use to help us get there too.
So, to help you kick your 2025 off with a lease of life in the slow living lane, we’ve curated a list of just a few wellness products, be it emotional, spiritual, physical or social, to add into your daily routine.
Essential oil diffuser
There’s a reason the second you step into a spa, you immediately feel a sense of calm. And while, yes, the atmosphere encourages this, I think the smell of essential oils also plays a part. Aromatherapy like this can alleviate and improve your mood, relieve stress and improve sleep, to mention a few things, and investing in a good essential oil diffuser can help create that sort of space at home.
Even better if they look pretty like this sunset-shaded Ceramic Pink Ombre Essential Oil Electric Aroma Diffuser, £45, from Oliver Bonas. By dispersing tiny oil particles into the air, filling your home or room with lavender, rose, orange and more, an essential oil diffuser helps create a soothing and calming space with these fragrance oil scents.

Spacemasks Self-Heating Eye Mask
Experience tired, strained eyes and just want to have a bit of zen time post work? Spacemasks’ self-heating eye masks claim to ‘transport you to another dimension’ and relieves ‘tiredness, eye strain and many other Earthly tensions’.
Infused with jasmine, which is said to invoke ‘positivity and tranquillity’, the mask – as described by the brand – ‘will whisk you away to your happy place’ and help you totally switch off.
One happy shopper who uses the masks said: “These feel so lovely, especially if you feel ill or burnt out they really help you to relax.”
Another said: “I’ve tried them and it really works! For someone like me who doesn’t relax easily, that’s really saying something!”
Although the effect was lost on some people, who of whom said: “This product was highly recommended but I was very underwhelmed. As I was trying to relax I did find the warming sensation somewhat relaxing but it was hard to get it to sit flush against my eye area. After a short while, I just found that my eye area was sweaty.”
Get them as a single mask from Sephora here for £3.85 and Amazon for a five pack for £23.10.
Comvita Mānuka Honey
This New Year, you may be looking for ways to reduce your refined sugar intake and swapping our sugar in your tea and coffee for something like honey is a great start – plus, it tastes great. Mānuka honey is a concentrated source of energy because of its high glucose and fructose content, and it has a lower calorific (energy) value by weight when compared with common sweeteners such as table sugar. It also allegedly offers anti-inflammatory, immune modulatory, and antioxidant bioactivities.
Comvita, a brand whose Mānuka honey guarantees full traceability and purity and is derived from the nectar of New Zealand Mānuka flower, also adds how the product makes for a pretty good pre-workout supplement for all those budding gym buffs.
Dr Jackie Evans, Chief Science Officer at Comvita says: “Mānuka honey is a great pre-workout supplement. It contains a range of quick and slow-release natural sugars that give you an energy boost and is a healthier alternative to energy drinks and sports gels that can be high in simple sugars and artificial ingredients.”
A squeezey bottle on this Manuka honey is currently on sale at Comvita for £11.99 down from £19.99 and can be bought here.
Therabody SmartGoggles
Tackling a whole host of issues that can affect your mental wellbeing, it’s been claimed that these goggles can help alleviate headaches or anxiety. Designed with ‘smart sense’ technology, the goggles have a SmartRelax mode that works to deliver ‘personalised vibration patterns’ and, according to Argos’ website, has been ‘clinically designed to lower your heart rate’.
With improved sleep quality through a gentle temple massage, which delivers slow-wave vibrations to get you a restful slumber, and heat to relieve eye strain and facial tension, it seems to be a multi-tasking wonder that shoppers say is ‘worth the splurge’ at £99.
With three speed settings and massage programs, the description reads: “Immerse yourself into a world of science-backed audio tracks that help you stay focused, increase relaxation, and fall asleep. Theraminds launched exclusively with SmartGoggles in the Therabody App.”

Yogi Bare Yoga Mat
Practising yoga, even just for 10 minutes, can really help you hit the reset button after a stressful day. Plus, I don’t know about you, but when I have something aesthetically pleasing on which to do my practise, it makes me want to do it more. Even better when it’s good quality, eco-friendly and durable – it is always going to help you jump out of bed in the morning for a physical and mental stretch. Brand Yogi Bare, whose products focus on helping you get the best out of your yoga practice, is an incredible place to stock up on the equipment needed for a seamless and relaxing yoga flow – just like this Paws Desert Rose Ever-Grip 4mm mat, £80, which is a beauty.
Designed with comfort, stability as well as aesthetic in mind (they’re both pretty and functional), the mats are made from natural rubber, and feature ‘EVER GRIP’ technology to ensure you don’t slip and slide around. Its 4mm width makes for a comfortable session while the design of the mat gives you alignment and orientation cues.
With ‘practicality’ in mind, the mat has an anti-sweat stain surface too, so the design (regardless of how maximalist or minimal it is) won’t be ruined. As someone who has two of these mats (in a limited edition Teddy Mat pink cloud design and its tropical leaf iteration), I can attest the quality is unreal. Regardless of how sweaty you get during your yoga, pilates or even HIIT workout on the mat, the grip is strong – the sweatier you get, the more grip you’ll have. It’s magic.

Shreddy’s Super Greens
Want a little boost to help you feel that extra bit spritely in the morning, without the need for taking 12 different supplements and a microdose of caffeine? Shreddy’s Supergreens Powder could be the answer. Created by Grace Beverly – founder of Tala – Shreddy’s Supergreens contains 100% NRV of your key beauty vitamins and minerals, 5 billion probiotic bacteria (the brand’s Pre and Probiotic Blend includes Chicory Root Extract, Psyllium Husk Powder, L. acidophilus, L. rhamnosus and B. bifidum) as well as 62 nourishing ingredients and extracts.
Giving your hair, skin, nails and immune system support with pre and probiotics, anti-oxidants and superfoods, the powder just needs to be added to water and drunk. What’s more is Shreddy prides itself on the flavour of the powder – the limited edition cherry and raspberry flavour is in stock and tastes ‘insane’ – unlike most greens powders.
One person who added the powder into their daily routine said: “I don’t feel tired anymore! I didn’t really think this would work. However I’m less bloated and have so much more energy. It’s great.”
While it is a little pricey at £34, you only need 8mg of the stuff per day so it’ll surely last you a while. Get it here.
Journal and Mind Cards from LSW London
On the days you don’t feel like to get your body moving, mind cards can be helpful with stress relief and boost emotional wellbeing. LSW London’s mind cards collection, £14.99 for a set of 45 cards, include different themes like New Mum Edition and The Affirmations to cultivate a positive mindset. They are short phrases to encourage gratitude, self-care and reflection, which are a powerful tool for creating calm, balance, and positivity in everyday life.
Whether you’re seeking personal growth, relaxation, or emotional support, LSW Mind Cards make self-care easy and achievable.
Elsewhere, LSW London’s journals are a great space to her support ‘self-reflection, positive habits and personal growth’. With a selection of journals to choose from, like Mind Notes which is a six month daily wellbeing journal which includes guided prompts to help you focus the energy in your life as well as weekly reviews, it’s a great way to help you reflect deeply and stay consistent.
The only thing to warn you of is that they’re undated – which is great if you’re starting your journey any time in the year.
Lil Sinclair-Williams, founder and CEO of LSW London explained: “Starting your day with journaling, before reaching for your phone, gives your mind the opportunity to process emotions and set your intentions before any external distractions filter through. If evenings suit you better, turn off the television and leave your phone outside your bedroom at least 30 minutes before bed. Use this time to reflect on your day, process your thoughts, and focus on gratitude. This simple habit can calm your mind, improve sleep quality and create a calm mindset as you end your day.”
There are also journals to help keep your habits on track, £22.99, as well as a journal for expecting mums, with its Mama Notes, £29.99.
Wellbeing Journal from Papier
Similar to LSW London, stationary brand Papier offers an array of different journals with a focus on different needs. From gratitude to wellness to sleep, the pages inside these aesthetically pleasing (you can pick which colour you want it in and can even personalise it with your name) notebooks, allow you to indulge in a big old brain dump and release you of tension, worries and more.
As described on the website, the brand’s Wellness Journal helps you ‘Make time for yourself’ and is to be used as follows: “Start and end each day with a fresh mindset, set intentions and take note of the things that make you feel good. Inside, there are 12-weeks of pages for reflecting on your mindful goals, habits, meals, water intake, sleep and the things you’re grateful for.”
As well as spaces for you to write, the journal includes useful articles written by wellness experts as well as a weekly and monthly check-in taking into consideration six wellness pillars. Get yours here.
Theragun
Massage guns are a good solution for easing muscle tensions without the need for booking in an expensive massage, whether you’re looking to chill after a gym session or just want to release stress from the working day. It’s also a great tool to force you to take time to pause and focus your mind on this massage.
Therabody’s Theragun range provides both exercise newbies and pros with some serious relief. Designed for everyday use, the Theragun has a unique triangular shape that makes reaching awkward spots a breeze, offering three speeds signalled by clear LED lights. Shopping writer Tiffany Lo can attest its ease of use first hand having used it to soothe neck and shoulder tension. She remarked: “The wider Dampener attachment hits a broader area when I want a quick few-minutes treatment. The one-button control is easy to use: short press to change speeds and long press to turn on or off.”
While it’s a bit of a treat at £125, it’ll certainly be a godsend when you have those sore muscles that need some serious tlc.
TRINIDa Sleep Candles
Getting good quality sleep is one of the best things you can do for your mental wellbeing and energy levels. But switching off a noisy brain at night doesn’t always come easy. There are a handful of tools out there you can use to help create a safe and tranquil setting in which to drift off from sunset clocks and meditation apps to lotions, even placing your phone outside the bedroom 30 minutes before you sleep.
One which I received last year as a present that helped transform my night time routine was a set of candles filled with essential oils.
The TRINIDa Sleep Candles cost £11.99 on Amazon and have been ‘professionally curated to help to relax and prepare for good night sleep and fresh awake’. Containing the likes of lavender, geranium and patchouli for one and lavendar, chamomile and ylang ylang for the other, the two candles – which focus on generating a good sleep and deep sleep – will help relax the mind and body and aid in creating a setting which can give you the best night’s sleep you’ve had in a long while.
Of course, it goes without saying that you must blow them out before you actually fall asleep, but the essential oils will remain lingering in the air as you slumber.
