Beyonce’s mum, Tina Knowles, claimed she was ‘hacked’ after she appeared to have liked a post concerning the rape accusation against Jay-Z
Tina Knowles has broken her silence after she appeared to have liked an Instagram post about the rape claim against Jay-Z.
When the news of Jay-Z, real name Shawn Corey Carter, being named in the lawsuit was shared on a news channel’s Instagram page, fans noticed that Beyoncé’s mother Tina’s verified account liked the post. The caption of the post read: “Jay-Z, Diddy named in lawsuit alleging rape of girl, 13.”
However, she soon denied liking the post and wrote a statement on her Notes app. She posted the screengrab of it on Instagram. It read: “I was Hacked! As you all know I do not play about my family. So if you see something uncharacteristic of me. Just know that it is not me!” She captioned the post: “Please stop playing with me !!!! “No weapon formed against my family shall prosper”.”
It comes after Jay-Z, 55, was dragged into P Diddy’s ongoing legal drama after an unnamed woman claimed she was raped by the pair after the 2000 MTV Music Awards. A civil lawsuit, originally filed in New York’s Southern District this past October against Combs, was refiled on Sunday naming Carter, as a defendant over an alleged incident at the MTV Awards – that he strong and vehemently denies.
The accuser, who has been identified as Jane Doe in legal documents, has claimed the alleged assault took place at a party after the award ceremony. A female celebrity has also been listed in the latest lawsuit, which accuses Diddy and Jay-Z of raping a 13-year-old at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) event. Jay-Z shared a strongly-worded denial of the allegations, implying that the unnamed woman’s lawyer was an “ambulance chaser” trying to extort him – and that his attempts would fail.
The Empire State of Mind rapper, who is married to Beyonce, recently responded to the rape claims in a strong statement published on social media. He called the claims against him ‘so heinous in nature’ and slammed Texas lawyer Tony Buzbee, who is representing 120 alleged victims of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
He said: “These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree? These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case.
“This lawyer, who I have done a bit of research on, seems to have a pattern of these type of theatrics! I have no idea how you have come to be such a deplorable human Mr. Buzbee, but I promise you I have seen your kind many times over. I’m more than prepared to deal with your type. You claim to be a marine?! Marines are known for their valor, you have neither honor nor dignity.”
Jay-Z went on to say how it was “unfair” that his family will also be affected by the lawsuit. “My only heartbreak is for my family,” he wrote. “My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people.
“I mourn yet another loss of innocence. Children should not have to endure such at their young age. It is unfair to have to try to understand inexplicable degrees of malice meant to destroy families and human spirit. My heart and support goes out to true victims in the world, who have to watch how their life story is dressed in costume for profitability by this ambulance chaser in a cheap suit.
