Internet sensation ‘Big John’ Fisher is set to be deported from Australia on his 52nd birthday.
Fisher, who is the dad of heavyweight boxer Johnny Fisher, was scheduled to make appearances at Wentworth Park in Sydney as well as Perth Racing and and Hillary’s Beach Club in Perth, but in a video uploaded to X – formerly known as Twitter – the 51-year-old has confirmed that those plans have been scrapped and he will instead be flying back to the UK on his birthday.
“I’m in Australia but bad news, Im flying home tomorrow, on my birthday,” he began. “I’ve been detained by Border Force for four hours and I’m not in a holding hotel. My visa was legal coming in but they’re not happy with what I’m doing here so they’re sending me home.
“I’m sorry Australia – I’m sorry Perth, sorry Sydney – I won’t be at any of my appearances this weekend, but please support the ones I was going to be at because they’re going to be good days. I’ll let you know more when I get home. To be truthful I just want to get home. All the best, let’s have it. Bosh; or no bosh.”

The 51-year-old is due to make an appearance in Birmingham on October 22, followed by a trip to Chelmsford on October 24 and 25 to celebrate Oktoberfest.
