American singer Billie Eilish was performing her hit song, What Was I Made For?, when a fan threw a bracelet onto the stage

Billie Eilish was almost hit in the face after a fan launched a bracelet onto the stage while she was performing.

The pop sensation, 22, was sitting cross-legged near the front of the stage as she performed What Was I Made For? from the iconic movie, Barbie. As she was crooning the lyrics to the hit song, a fan threw what looked like a bracelet onto the stage, almost striking her in the head.

It was launched hard enough that Billie flinched and quickly turned her face away to avoid getting any injuries. A different concert-goer filmed the shocking moment and shared it on TikTok. Billie remained professional and nonchalant when she was almost hit and simply picked up the object before throwing it to the side.

The person who shared the video online wrote on the video: “Someone threw a bracelet at Billie Eilish during her song.” They also captioned the post: “I was lowkey furious.” Fans took to social media to complain about the act, with many calling at fans for throwing things at musicians.

“God please take all of billie eilish’s pain, quadruple it, and give it to whoever threw that bracelet at her face,” one person said on X. Another added: “Whomever threw that blue bracelet/necklace at Billie Eilish needs their butt whoop. This is why I would never want to be a performer. The disrespect they are showing artists these days is truly disgusting. I wish I could give Billie a hug.”

“This style of intimate performances will be going away soon. Artists will be performing behind mesh screens like we’re watching them through a microwave door,” one user posted and another wrote: “Common decency and courtesy is thrown out the window when we forget that celebrities and artists are human too.”

It’s not the first time a celebrity has been hit with an object from the crowd. Bebe Rexha was previously injured when a fan threw their mobile phone at her while she was performing on stage. The musician fell to the floor after being hit in the face and was left with a bruise. She ended up having to get stitches.

Following the incident, she took to social media to show fans the bruise on her eye and the stitches on her eyebrow. She put on a brave face and told fans in the caption: “I’m good.”
