B&M’s £8 gadget is perfect for anyone who drinks tea or coffee

The problem becomes a thing of the past with this device

B&M shoppers will never have to suffer from the regret of letting a perfect cup of tea or coffee after picking up the latest £8 device to hit the shelves. If you’ve made yourself a hot drink and then get busy, it can be frustrating to come back to a stone-cold cup.

The problem can happen almost anywhere, whether you’ve been dragged into a meeting at work or end up getting on a roll with some housework. Long phone calls can also distract you from a quiet moment to sit and enjoy a hearty brew (and a few biscuits, too).

Instead of pouring it away or sticking it in the microwave (which some consider as bad as treason in the UK), B&M has a bargain solution to help make this problem a thing of the past. For just £8, the discount store is selling a USB Powered Mug Warmer.

The product was spotted by Snack Reviews, a Facebook page with thousands of followers who scan supermarkets and shops around the UK for deals on food, drinks and more. The box shows that the device looks like a high-tech coaster, but it can keep your brew nice and hot with “rapid heating” technology to achieve a toasty 65°C cuppa.

The novelty gift would make an ideal present for anyone who can never finish a drink without it going ice cold. It’s not listed on the B&M website for sale, meaning shoppers who are interested should head into their nearest shop and scan the aisles themselves.

Plenty of Facebook users had their say on the gadget. One commented: “I have one [of these] and its great for working from home. I constantly leave my tea to go cold so this means I can keep it on a warm function so I can enjoy my cuppa – whenever I remember it’s there!”

Another added: “I’d always forget my tea then warm it up in the microwave – then forget it was there too! This would probably solve that!” A third said: “Think I should get you one of these, save a fortune on replacing cold coffee!”

It was also shared by another Facebook group – Dansway Gifts and Bargains UK. They fund a pack in B&M and wrote: “Keep your hot drink warm for longer with this USB Powered Mug Warmer from B&M.”

More had their say on the device there, with a Facebook user suggesting: “All office workers secret Santa gift sorted!” Another posted: “I need this for your house! My tea is always cold by the time I drink it!”

One more said: “omg i definitely need this, especially for the winter months in work.” And, someone else put: “This is exactly what I need, never finish a tea before it gets cold!”

Find your nearest B&M store using the online locator tool. Simply enter your postcode and the site brings up a list of your closest branches of the store, including contact details and opening hours.
