Boots sells Clinique Take The Day Off Facial Cleansing Mousse separately for £27, and reviewers have awarded it an average rating of 4.3/5. One reviewer said: “Love this silky mousse texture and leaves my skin feeling soft and nourished after use. I use the take the day off balm already and find this a fantastic addition to add to my double cleanse routine.”
Another said: “Tried the mini first and had to get the big tube, as this is an excellent cleanser. I use a small amount to remove make-up (including waterproof mascara and glitter), SPF and the day’s grime, and nothing I have thrown to it can resist it..” Although, it’s worth noting the description says to avoid the eye area.
Someone else noted: “Love the Clinique Take the Day Off range so had high hopes for this product. Beautiful consistency, lathers up nicely, very little product required. However my dry skin felt really tight after use so it may be better for those with oilier or more normal skin types,” and another reviewer wrote: “Works well, the balm would be better as it is more efficient taking off more makeup. However this works well with a subtle light makeup loo.”
Boots also sells a full-sized version of Clinique Moisture Surge 100H Auto-Replenishing Hydrator, which is rated 4.7/5. A pleased reviewer commented: “Best moisturiser I have ever, ever, ever used on my face.” A second praised: “Always reliable. The best moisturiser for dry skin,” and a third replied: “This is the best moisturiser I’ve ever had. My skin has never felt so soft and hydrated – ever. And the softness lasts all day. My ‘go to’ moisturiser now.”
However, a different reviewer thought: “It’s nice and feels nice but does pull under makeup, prefer dramatically different moisturiser, it’s nice for no makeup days though.” Someone else suggested: “When first using this it feels so silky and hydrated. It is weightless and absorbs really well however within 10 minuites my skin is dry again so it’s not heavy moisturising.”
