Boxing Tonight: TV channels, live streams, UK start times and fight cards

By staff27 September 2025No Comments5 Mins Read

Boxing fans are spoilt for choice this evening as two blockbuster events are set to take place, including the return of British legend James DeGale

Boxing fans are in for a real treat this evening with two blockbuster events, including the return of James DeGale.

The British boxing legend – who won Olympic gold in 2008 – will not be lacing up the gloves, though. The two-time world champion is set to make his bare-knuckle boxing debut in Manchester. DeGale retired from the sport back in 2019 after suffering a defeat to Chris Eubank Jr. He faces a tough test on his return to the ring as he takes on Matt Floyd – who also has some experience as a professional boxer.

Also this evening, Ben Crocker will be putting his IBF European super lightweight title on the line against Sean McComb in Sheffield. McComb comes into the showdown odd the back of a comfortable victory over Alexis Nahuel Torres. As for Crocker, the Welsh star fought to a split draw against Tiernan Bradley in his last outing following back-to-back wins against Stelios Papadopoulos. And so, here is everything you need to know about tonight’s fights…

James DeGale vs Matt Floyd

What time will James DeGale vs Matt Floyd start tonight?

Tonight’s blockbuster event is scheduled to take place at the AO Arena in Manchester. The action is due to get underway at around 6pm UK time (1pm ET / 10am PT / 12pm CT). Floyd will make the walk to the ring first in the main event at around 10:30pm UK time (5:30pm ET / 2:30pm PT / 4:30pm CT). The timings of all fights are subject to change and will depend on how long the undercard takes to complete.

How to watch James DeGale vs Matt Floyd

All of the action is set to be shown live on DAZN. The popular streaming platform can be found as an additional subscription on TVs. It can also be streamed live on the official website or the downloadable app. A DAZN subscription is £119.99 or £14.99 per month, or £24.99 on a flexible commitment that can be cancelled at any point.

James DeGale : “I got the opportunity because he disrespected me at one of my friends’ shows. And I took it with both hands,” he said at the pre-fight press conference. On his future after the Floyd showdown, DeGale added: “I am not too sure what I am going to do. I am going to see how it goes.”

Matt Floyd: “You cannot stop the clinches, mate. It does not matter how hard you train. You cannot stop it.” He added: “That is all he has been saying the whole f****** time ‘you are getting knocked out. Helmet. You are getting knocked out.'”

Ben Crocker vs Sean McComb

What time will Ben Crocker vs Sean McComb start tonight?

Tonight’s event is scheduled to take place at the Canon Medical Arena in Sheffield. The main card is set to get underway at around 6pm UK time (1pm ET / 10am PT / 12pm CT). In the main event, McComb will make the walk to the ring first at around 10pm UK time (5pm ET / 3pm PT / 5pm CT) with Crocker set to follow immediately after. The timings of all fights are subject to change and will depend on how long the undercard takes to complete.

Ben Crocker : “I believe I’m at the level I’m at now, where every fight onwards, if I keep winning, is just another step up. There’s no going backwards at this level. I’m expecting him (Sean) to try and outbox me, stay on the back foot, hit and move. I’m well prepared for the awkward slick style, my style isn’t a walk you down kind of style anyway, so I think it’s going to be a bit of a chess match, a real educated fight.”

Sean McComb : “[Crocker] didn’t have to take this fight, but the fact that he did just shows the confidence from his team. They believe that they have a way to beat me, so with mine and Pete’s tactics combined, we’re going to have to prove them wrong. He’s Welsh, and Welsh fighters are very similar to the Irish. They’re tough, and while they might not always be technically gifted, they can make up for it with balls, durability and strength. I know all too well, because when I fought Gavin Gwynne, I came in under-prepared and paid the price. But I won’t let that happen again.”
