With the Brit Awards just around the corner, the awards has often been a time for romance with several celebs sharing a chooky smooch at the bash
Musicians and artists are gearing up for the 45th Brit Awards ceremony this weekend.
The British bash has produced some wild moments over the years, with celebrities sharing secret and sometimes quite public kisses.
This year’s awards will see returning presenter and comedian Jack Whitehall make an appearance on the O2 Arena stage as he plays host to some of the world’s biggest artists and stars on Saturday evening. A host of some of the biggest artists have already been confirmed to appear at the awards with Sam Fender, Sabrina Carpenter and The Last Dinner Party performing throughout the evening.
But it isn’t just the performances and awards that fans of the glitzy annual bash are keen to stay in the loop on as celebrities are known to hook up during the rambunctious ceremony and afterparty. Here we take a look at the stars who have hooked up at previous BRIT Awards ceremonies…
Geordie icon Sam Fender is rumoured to have found love with fellow artist Raye at the ceremony in 2022. The pair are thought to have partied at Sam’s private party in Peckham after sharing a sneaky cuddle backstage at the awards.
At the time a source revealed to The Sun: “Sam and Raye met each other on the music scene and get on really well. It’s very early days but they’ve spent a lot of time together over the past few weeks and have been on a string of low-key, secret dates. They really respect each other and have loads in common.”
The same year, former Strictly Come Dancing star Giovanni Pernice and Emily Atack were said to be “snogging their faces off” of one another at the star-studded post-show bash. The Italian dancer didn’t attend the ceremony, but reportedly headed to the afterparty in order to wow The Inbetweeners star. The pair were seen together in the smoking area and Emily was later spotted leaving the BRIT Awards with Giovanni.
One onlooker told The Sun at the time: “Gio and Emily were snogging the faces off each other. Their hands were everywhere and they were absolutely loving it. He had been following her around the club and joined her on Maya Jama’s private table. Before long he had his arms draped over her on the dance floor where they kissed — and then held hands outside in the smoking area.”
A year later, the 2023 awards produced some headline-grabbing moments, as Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi planted a kiss on Harry Styles’ lips. The two stars were caught on camera having a snog after Harry jumped off a stage and embraced Lewis for a hug that turned raucous.
Last year’s event also brought on carnage as host Maya Jama introduced the dangerous ‘kiss cam’ that saw Aussie superstar Kylie Minogue was roped into kissing a celeb 24 years younger than her.
Put onto the big screen 55-year-old Kylie was cheered into leaning into presenter Roman Kemp, 31, who was sitting next to her at the time. Despite the gag, Kylie kept the night PG Minogue put her hand over her mouth and leapt onto the radio host before pretending to kiss – erupting the crowd into applause and laughter.
