A Brit has tragically died after he was hit by three cars during a motorbike crash.
Craig Davies, 50, who was originally from Wakefield, West Yorkshire, was killed in the crash in Chiang Mai, Thailand, at around 12:20 am local time.
He lost control of his KTM 1290 Super Duke close to an underpass on the Chiang Mai-Lampang Highway and then came off his bike. He was then hit by three vehicles. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Adulsiri Wongtankard, of the Mae Ping Police Station, described the crash as “deeply traumatic”.
He said: “I feel sorry for the victim’s relatives. This is a deeply traumatic event. People who witnessed the incident are in shock.
“The British Embassy in Bangkok has the details of the accident and his identity.”
It has been reported that he lived in Thailand and ran a health supplies company.
Heartfelt tributes have since poured in for the businessman.
