Brit killed in Majorca after losing his balance and plunging off 16ft wall

By staff27 June 2025No Comments3 Mins Read

The 41-year-old Brit lost his balance and plunged around 16ft to his death from a wall at the beautiful resort beach of Cala Aguila on the Majorca’s northeast coast

A British tourist has died after falling from a wall in Majorca in a tragic accident.

The 41-year-old lost his balance and plunged around 16ft to his death at the beautiful resort beach of Cala Aguila on the island’s northeast coast. Firefighters and police recovered the man’s body after receiving a 999 call. He is said to have died instantly after falling from the wall in a rocky area, around 1.30am this morning. It was not immediately clear if he had been on his own or with other people at the time. Police sources said today they were treating the incident as an accident.

Brit woman in Majorca plunges 60ft to horror death as police issue alert

The shocking incident comes after a series of recent fatal falls suffered by Brits whilst abroad. Last month, a 39-year-old British woman tragically died after plunging around 60ft from a scenic beauty spot overlooking the sea in Palma, Majorca. She was rushed to hospital with critical injuries but died later that day on May 19.

Insiders close to the investigation confirmed they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident, and said it was not being treated as a crime. It was not immediately clear today if she was on holiday in Majorca or lived locally.

Weeks earlier in April, a 63-year-old British tourist died after a horror fall from the Segovia aqueduct in Spain. Emergency services raced to the scene after horrified witnesses reported seeing the man tumble from an observation deck.

The tourist is said to have fallen backwards from the Roman aqueduct after sitting on an observation deck at the monument’s viewing platform. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. At it’s tallest point the aqueduct is 28.5 meters and it stretches a stunning 794 meters in length. It was originally built to move water for miles from fresh springs in mountains to the city.

In December last year, a 22-year-old climber fell to his death in a “terrible accident” while on a trip Spain with his father. Zachary Cook was climbing a route in Malaga when he detached a safety clip at the wrong time.

The video game programmer, from Winterbourne, South Gloucestershire, fell around 20 metres while climbing, causing him to suffer traumatic injuries. A coroner told an inquest into his death that climbers “were informed to only unclip one of the safety clips from the safety wire at any one time and never to unclip both safety clips at the same time.

“Around halfway through the route, Zachary unclipped both of his safety clips from the safety wire, which resulted in him falling around 20 metres below,” he said.
