Brit millionaire ‘arrested over rape of two women at luxury Mallorca hotel’

By staff9 May 2025No Comments2 Mins Read

A Brit was reportedly held in Mallorca on Wednesday after the second of the two women accused him of forcing himself on her hours after she flew to the island capital Palma for an arranged meeting

A British millionaire tycoon has reportedly been arrested in Mallorca on suspicion of raping two women at a luxury hotel. The man allegedly targeted the pair on separate occasions at the same five-star hotel in Portals Nous, which includes the upmarket marina of Puerto Portals and is known as a meeting place for the rich and famous.

The Brit was held on Wednesday after the second of the two women accused him of forcing himself on her hours after she flew to the island capital Palma for an arranged meeting. She made a formal complaint after being taken to hospital by police, alleging she had been raped at the weekend following the rendezvous.

The other woman claimed she was targeted at the start of the year. Civil Guard officers have prepared a report for a court in Palma which is conducting an ongoing criminal probe.

But he was allowed to leave police custody, without appearing before an investigating judge, after insisting the complainants had been trying to blackmail him. He is said to have produced evidence of his claims through a defence lawyer who accompanied him when he was questioned by police.

No formal charges have yet been laid and it was not immediately clear today when the British man will be summoned to appear in court. His appearance before the investigating judge would take place behind closed doors as is normal in Spain where only trials take place in public.

He is believed to have been told he is free to leave Mallorca while the investigation against him continues. The two women who police have taken statements from met him through a dating website where women seek out men with a higher social status, according to local reports.

The Civil Guard in Palma has not yet made any official comment.
