Crossing into the continent doesn’t need to be a costly affair, as one traveller confirms as she filmed her entire day in Spain and even made it home in time for bed
One keen traveller has time-stamped her entire day in a bustling Spanish city, from the moment she arrives at the airport to when she gets home.
A TikTok user has proved that you can visit Spain in less than 24 hours and be back at home in your own bed by midnight. From London to Alicante, user @readystephtravel shared a video of her trip to Alicante – detailing exactly what she did and how long it all took. It comes as reports suggest more and more people are jetting off to European countries for a brief trip, instead of splashing out on a week or fortnight holiday abroad.
Visiting Alicante on Spain’s southeastern Costa Blanca, Steph captured her highlights in a video which is two minutes long. From getting ready in the morning at 2.19am and heading to the airport, to arriving in Alicante, she proves that a day-trip is doable, but that you need to be punctual to make it work.

She explored the local sights, including the top of a historic castle, wandering the lively streets, and eating the classic Spanish treats such as ice cream, tapas, and cookies. She even went to the beach and spent enough time lounging to get sun burnt. The clever video accumulated over 613k viewers and 16k likes, with hundreds of comments from users who struggled to believe how Steph managed to squeeze so many activities into one day.
