Britain’s Got Talent has wrapped it’s latest semi-final. The ITV regular airs each Saturday night but in a major shake-up, it was taken out of the schedule in order to make way for the FA Cup Final.
During tonight’s very tense semi-final, there was a major twist. Despite Alesha Dixon having the Live Show Golden Buzzer, it was in fact, a contestant’s parent who decided to hit the gold after being invited onto the panel by Simon Cowell. Joseph Charm revealed his mum was a huge fan of the media mogul during his set.
After his brilliant comedy routine, Simon invited Joseph’s mum to join him, Alesha, Amanda Holden and Bruno Tonioli on the judging panel. And she wasted no time in sharing her thoughts as she joined Alesha by pressing the gold.
Viewers also saw Post Office choir, Hear Our Voices, voted the winner of the semi-final after going up against Max Fox. The group is made up of subpostmasters affected by the Horizon Scandal, and they were left emotional after winning the public vote.
The winner of the talent competition, which ends later this month, will land a spot on the bill at The Royal Variety Performance, as well as £250,000 in cash.
