A British boyband name has reportedly been arrested by police and issued a Domestic Abuse Protection Notice after being suspected of assaulting a woman and child
A British boyband star has reportedly been arrested by police on suspicion of common assault towards a woman and a child.
According to The Sun, a domestic abuse deterrent was issued against the singer after police received a distressing emergency call. They were eventually released on bail and issued a Domestic Abuse Protection Notice, which means that police had reasonable grounds to suspect that abuse had occurred.
Police told the publication: “Officers responded and spoke to a woman who said she had been assaulted by a man known to her, approximately two weeks ago.
“Further enquiries were carried out. However, there was insufficient evidence to refer the case to the Crown Prosecution Service. Officers authorised a Domestic Abuse Protection Notice.
“However, a Domestic Abuse Protection Order was not granted by the magistrate.”
Domestic Abuse Protection Orders were introduced this year, with those being issue an order being required to follow instructions in a bid to protect domestic violence victims.
