As the Beckham family feud rumbles on, royal experts have weighed in on the striking similarities between Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz’ family troubles and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exit from royal life
Experts have warned that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may become the ‘blueprint’ for Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz amid their bitter family rifts. The two couples seem to be living parallel lives, with both Harry and Brooklyn’s American partners distancing themselves from their in-laws.
However Brooklyn, 26, and Nicola, 30, need to be aware the ‘damage’ that can be done if they follow in the Sussexe’s footsteps, a royal expert has warned.
It is believed that Meghan and Nicola have found “common ground” after both being accused of causing family rifts. And after Brooklyn’s latest Instagram post where he boldly said he’d ‘always choose’ his wife, the Beckhams feud doesn’t look as if it’s easing up any time soon. But experts say it’s a risky game to play for Brooklyn.

Ingrid Seward, Editor-in-Chief of Majesty Magazine, pointed out how they are following in the Sussexes’ footsteps, with Prince Harry currently not on speaking terms with Prince William or King Charles. “It’s also rather fascinating that the Beckham’s son, Brooklyn, who was their firstborn, has sort of sided with his wife against the family. In a way, you know, we’re looking at Harry, who was not firstborn, but sided with Meghan against the family,” she told The Sun.
Ingrid further claimed Brooklyn and Nicola want to “become friends” with Harry and Meghan amid their family woes. It was recently reported that Prince Harry and Meghan showed Brooklyn and Nicola a sign of support by inviting them over for a group dinner at the their Californian home. An insider from the Sussex camp then claimed that Harry and Meghan didn’t directly invite them, suggesting the couple ended up at the party through a mutual friend.
In terms of looking to Prince Harry for support, Newsweek’s chief royal correspondent Jack Royston said that Brooklyn needs to “be careful” – as Harry and Meghan haven’t managed to resolve anything with the royal family.

“Brooklyn and Nicola clearly have absolutely lapped up the opportunity to get to know Harry and Meghan, and no doubt probably were sharing some notes. But Brooklyn needs to be very careful because family is so important and he has not lost his family yet, but he could,” he said.
The royal expert further noted: “Brooklyn should think very hard about whether if he is getting advice about whether that advice is actually good advice. It is understood the quartet swapped mobile numbers, but it is not known whether they have stayed in touch.”
It comes after those close to the Beckham family have claimed that David and Victoria’s eldest son is being ‘held hostage’ by his wife. “Brooklyn is now being referred to as ‘the hostage.’ He is in a situation where those who love Brooklyn fear that he is being controlled by Nicola and it is heartbreaking,” one insider told Mail Online.
