Community Fibre has launched a flash sale, offering customers 500mb/s download speeds for only £20 a month until this October date

Anyone looking to cut the cost of their bills this autumn, and coming to the end of their broadband contract, may want to swap biggies like Sky, EE and Virgin for a lesser-known provider. Community Fibre has launched a £20 deal and it’s perfect for London postcodes.

Download speeds of 500mb/s are up for grabs for £20 each month, one of the cheapest deals currently going. The only thing to remember is this cheaper deal will keep customers in for a fixed 24-month contract, so be sure it’s right for you before you click ‘go’.

The total cost across the full contract comes to £480, a huge difference when looking at Sky’s similar Full Fibre 500mb/s plan at £34 per month. Yes, you pay more for the convenient direct link to the fibre optic cables.

Sky’s deal is still £816 for the same two-year contract. Over at EE, the most economical package costs £29.99 a month, meaning you’ll save nearly £10 a month.

With 500mb/s of download speed at your disposal, you can download games, films and series in mere minutes, putting an end to those annoying buffering waits, reports the Express. There’s no set-up fee either, so no hidden charges to fret over, and a router is included with the set-up, so you’ll be ready to surf the web immediately.

If you’re after even faster speeds, there’s also the option to upgrade to 1gb/s download speeds for just £26 a month – ideal for gamers downloading hefty files. But be quick, this offer expires in October, so you’ll need to move swiftly if you want to bag it.

Branded as one of “London’s best quality broadband providers” Community Fibre boasts an impressive 4.5-star rating out of five on Trustpilot. A delighted customer raved: “The whole process was very swift and easy.

“I now have good internet (something I thought impossible in London). Before I was with Sky and they provided slow and bad service but Community Fibre give you super fast speeds and it isn’t expensive.”

Another happy user gushed: “My experience has been flawless so far. Straight forward set up and payment. Lee, the engineer who visited my property, was polite, efficient, and communicative.

“He did an excellent job at running the cable along the wall in a discreet way. He explained to me all the basics and what to do to check the wifi speed or reach out for technical support. I am hugely satisfied so far.”

But, not every experience echoed this sentiment, with one disgruntled customer grumbling: “The signal is still very strong downstairs near the router, but we now get ‘cold spots’ elsewhere in the house… Also – the price has risen a couple of times already during our time with Community Fibre.”

For a bit more cash, you can snag yourself premium Wi-Fi support for £32 a month, ensuring coverage throughout your entire home. If you’re a work-from-home type or someone who regularly downloads hefty files, you can opt for the 3gb/s premium Wi-Fi at £56 a month.

Snagging yourself a 150mb/s broadband deal at just £21 a month is an absolute steal, but if you’ve got more cash to splash, you might want to eye up the 500mb/s package. Those of you still hunting for the perfect deal, Virgin Media and Sky are definitely worth a peep as well.
