Celebrity Big Brother’s Mickey Rourke was axed from the house after several offensive comments and aggressive behaviour towards Chris Hughes
Celebrity Big Brother is ending tonight with a live final and the evicted stars are known to return for one last time. However, one specific housemate was a ‘loose cannon’ during his stay and was axed from the ITV series for aggressive behaviour towards Love Island star Chris Hughes.
Not long after entering the house, Mickey Rourke shocked fans as he used offensive homophobic language towards American singer JoJo Siwa. He made fatphobic comments towards Donna Preston, left Patsy Palmer in tears after insulting her cooking. One of the final straws was making a vile sexual comment towards Ella Rae Wise after she asked him to “come with her”.
When he tried to square up to Chris for ‘eyeballing him’, he was swiftly taken to the Diary Room and reprimanded before being kicked out of the house.
And now, The Sun claims Mickey won’t be attending the live final but it isn’t known whether he wasn’t invited or didn’t want to attend.
The Mirror have reached out to ITV for comment. Since leaving the series, Mickey has returned to Los Angeles – where he claimed not to know who JoJo Siwa was when a photographer asked if the actor had anything to say to her.
Just days after his exit, it was reported that Mickey has been preparing to sue ITV after being told he may not receive the full £500,000 fee he was promised when joining the show.
His representative, Kimberly Hines, recently told TMZ that Mickey’s team is speaking with UK lawyers and “weighing a lawsuit” against the broadcaster.
She also claimed Mickey was sent packing just before becoming “contractually eligible” for a significant fee increase and is now being saddled with extra costs — including a £50,000 hotel bill for his team’s stay in London.
According to Hines, ITV will only reimburse up to £230 a night. She added that Mickey was “sent to the airport with barely a ride”.
A source told The Sun : “Mickey won’t be receiving all his money from ITV. If a celebrity is removed from the house, they don’t get the full fee. It’s as simple as that, and they will be discussing that with him.
“Mickey was ready to leave the house and it ended up feeling like a mutual decision between him and ITV in the end. It was getting too much.”
The Celebrity Big Brother final airs tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX*
