Charlotte Crosby lifts lid on new parenting rule as she apologises to fans for being ‘rude’

As the Geordie Shore icon continues to settle into life as a proud mum of two, Charlotte has opened up about a new parenting rule she has now put in place that could leave some fans disappointed

Geordie Shore icon Charlotte Crosby has revealed a brand new parenting rule she has been forced to adopt, while also apologising to her fans in the process.

The 35 year old reality star, who is a doting mum to daughters Alba and Pixi, took to Instagram stories with a candid post on Wednesday evening, as she explained the reason for the new addition to her day to day life, despite it often making her feel as though she were being “rude.”

In the post, Charlotte revealed she would no longer be interacting with her fans in public when she was out and about with her daughters, in order to preserve their privacy and protect their safety, by giving them her full undivided attention.

“I’m so grateful to everyone who supports me and takes the time to say hello,” Charlotte began in the post. “It truly means a lot. However, I’ve taken some time this holiday to reflect with the girls on some moments when I’ve felt uneasy, for example, when I’m out alone with the children.

“As a parent, their safety and well-being will always come first. When I’m with them, I can’t step away or leave them unattended to take photos.”

Earlier this month, Charlotte and her fiancé Jake Ankers took their family away to Spain for a well earned holiday, yet even while soaking up the sun, the couple were approached by eager fans who wanted to snap a photo – something which Charlotte was forced to turn down.

“Over the summer, there have been times we have been out just us three and people have asked [for photos],” she explained. “I always feel so incredibly rude saying no. I hope going forward you can respect that if I’m alone with the girls it’s not safe at all to not have my full attention on them at all times.

“If we cross paths when I’m on my own, I’ll always do my best to stop, take photos, and say hi.”

While the decision to prioritise her young family may not come as too much as a surprise, it isn’t the first time that Charlotte and Jake have been forced to set boundaries when it comes to protecting their private life from eager fans.

Earlier this year, a super fan travelled all the way to Charlotte’s former home in the hopes of being able to take a selfie with the star, and even went so far as knocking on the front door to do so!

The couple moved from the home last year, after a masked burglary took place while Charlotte was heavily pregnant and home alone; however it appears the superfine hadn’t received the memo.

Jake shared an Instagram message from a fan from Birmingham, who was on holiday in the North East – as he slammed the intrusive behaviour online.

The superfan had been hoping to get a photo for their girlfriend, explaining: “I did ring the buzzer to try and make it happen for her but didn’t get any answer so if you see a strange man pop up on the camera I do apologise.”

Jake replied: “One of the reasons we have moved!!!”

“After everything that happened last year with the break in, all we need is people coming round to our home wanting photos with Charlotte, understand she has fans and people love her but it’s not ok to just turn up to someone’s house randomly when they have 2 babies In there!!!

“A home should be a safe place not somewhere people can invade your privacy with your family.”
