Cleaning the bathroom is a constant and laborious task but one woman was left stunned by the results of a spray she used to keep her bathroom clean – and it doesn’t require any scrubbing or effort at all
Scrubbing the bathroom can be one of the most boring and never-ending chores to tackle in the house, but one woman has raved about a budget-friendly and powerful spray that keeps hers spotless with little effort. Bathrooms see plenty of action, and with the elevated humidity levels and continuous flow of products like shampoos, soaps and more, it doesn’t take long for them to appear less than pristine.
Countless people head to social media seeking solutions, advice and tricks to keep their homes immaculate. One woman chose to test a product she’d spotted being recommended online, and the outcome left her amazed.
The item in question is Method’s Daily Shower Spray, which comes in a modest selection of scents and costs £3.85 at full price, though it’s frequently on offer for less.
Currently, it’s available for £2.69 on the Method website.
The cruelty-free brand claims: “Effortlessly maintain the shine on your shower with plant-based cleaning power. It dissolves and helps prevent soap scum without worry of streaks or stains.”
Customers are told to “just spray after showering”, with the product needing “no squeegee, no wiping, no effort”.
On Reddit, one delighted buyer posted a photograph of the spray with the title: “What is this sorcery?”
She then wrote: “I recently bought this product after seeing it highly recommended on this sub. I’ve been using it for two weeks and I don’t know what’s in it, all I know is that it’s some kind of cleaning sorcery.
“Our bathtub and shower, the bane of my existence, would be covered in a layer of soap scum and grime after just a few days, and now it stays sparkly clean.
“The only change we made was applying it generously after each shower while the surfaces are still wet. That’s it.”
She then added: “Cleaning the tub used to be my personal version of hell and something I’d dread and avoid at all costs. Now, it’s just a simple task. Just thought I’d share my experience.”
In the comments section, fellow Reddit users shared their thoughts. One person said: “I’ve been using this also.
“Not as consistently since my husband would never remember to use it but it really makes a difference even doing it less. Love the fragrance too!”
Another said: “A month ago I was this close to ripping out my shower because of how frustrated I was with cleaning it so often. And then, I found this. Saving my sanity!!”
A third advised: “It’s good, but doesn’t prevent hard water stains. Those still need to [be] scrubbed away, for anyone who struggles with that.”
Someone else said: “Yes, it’s much better than other brands. And, the scent is tolerable. I’ve taken to buying it from Amazon. It’s usually less expensive there than in my local stores.” Some claimed they weren’t fans of the fragrance while others loved it.
