Some Samsung phones can finally get the One UI 7 update. Check your device now.
After months of waiting, Samsung has officially started rolling out its One UI 7 update to some devices across the globe. This blockbuster software update is packed with new features that will make older phones feel more like the latest and greatest Galaxy S25. Once installed, users will find upgrades such as the Now Bar, which pops up to provide real-time updates such as football scores, notifications, and what music is playing.
There’s also Drawing Assist to help create usable images from rough finger sketches on the display and One UI 7 adds Audio Eraser which can help remove unwanted background noise from videos. This is perfect for anyone that has recorded something in a busy room and can’t hear what’s being said.
Samsung has also confirmed that the update brings deeper integration of Google Gemini ’s AI. This AI upgrade now lets Galaxy owners chat away with the smart Google Assistant just like it’s a real person rather than a bot.

Other extras include Writing Assist – which allows users to easily summarise or automatically format content – and there are easier ways to find options in the settings – just say things like, “My eyes are feeling tired,” and instant recommended options such as adjusting brightness or turning on Eye comfort shield will appear.
One UI 7 also comes with a redesign that Samsung says makes things look more “simple, impactful and emotive.” . A simplified home screen, redesigned One UI widgets and lock screen also allow users to intuitively and seamlessly customize their devices.
If that sounds exciting, then it’s worth keeping an eye on your settings and checking for new downloads – especially if you have an S24, S23, Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, Z Fold 5 or Z Flip 5 as these are some of the first to see the changes.
