Strictly Come Dancing star Chris Robshaw’s wife Camilla has revealed exactly what she would do if he gets wrapped up in the ‘Strictly curse’ as he joins the hit show
Strictly Come Dancing contestant Chris Robshaw isn’t the only one in his household preparing for him to take part in the hit BBC dance competition. The rugby star, 39, will head to the dancefloor for the first time on Saturday night as he gets matched his with professional dancer.
However, his wife Camilla Kerslake is preparing to take on another aspect of the show – the infamous Strictly curse. The programme has seen the end and beginning of many relationships over the years following a series of cheating scandals.
It was already reported that Camilla has taken steps to make sure the dreaded curse doesn’t affect their marriage. Now, she has cheekily proved what she would do to anyone that came in between her and her husband.

Camilla filmed a clip in the couple’s hallway as she lip synced to Sabrina Carpenter’s track Nobdoy’s Son. She jokingly whacked her handbag at the camera alongside the caption: “POV: Your husband is starting Strictly training…”
Her fans found the video hilarious as one said: “Love this… because girl I wouldn’t even be joking.” Another added: “Your energy!!! I need to bottle it and sell it.”
Someone else commented: “Na this is jokes.” Camilla reiterated: “Joking, obviously @bbcstrictly. He’s actually having the *best* time and I’m so into it Will he win the glitterball?!”
Camilla, 37, tied the knot with Chris in 2018, is said to be keen to shut down speculation before it starts and has even invited his professional partner over for dinner.
“Camilla is a woman’s woman. She knows it’s inevitable that women will be compared and pitted against each other, but she won’t stand for that. She’s always been very vocal about women supporting each other and has already invited Chris’ partner over for dinner.
“She wants to build a friendship outside of the show in a bid to stop any gossiping around the curse,” a source revealed. According to insiders, Chris’ dance partner has been receptive to Camilla’s efforts, with both women finding common ground and planning to spend time together before the series begins.
“Chris thinks they’ll hit it off as mates and he’s joked to friends that he’ll end up being the third wheel,” they told The Sun. The so-call ‘Strictly curse’ refers to several celebrity contestants leaving long-term partners for their professional dancers.
Countdown star Rachel Riley split from her husband before marrying professional dancer Pasha Kovalev in 2019. Stacey Dooley also left her partner Sam Tucknott and later had a child with professional dancer Kevin Clifton.
Comedian Seann Walsh was brutally dumped after being caught kissing his professional dance partner, Katya Jones. However, as Camilla remains certain they will stay strong, Chris is ready to join a cast that includes former Love Island star Dani Dyer, TV personality Vicky Pattison, and YouTube sensation George Clarke.
The series will officially launch this weekend with the pairing-up episode, before the celebrities and their professional dancers kick off the live competition.
