If you’re in the market for a new spring perfume, you’re in luck as Clarins’ citrus-smelling treatment fragrance dubbed as ‘better than designer scents’ has had a £10 price cut
Perfumes are definitely an investment, especially those from designer brands. So when there’s a fragrance out there that smells just as good, if not better than those designer scents, it’s well worth trying out, in our opinion. That’s where Clarins Eau des Jardins Treatment Fragrance comes in.
This perfume has been hailed as excellent value for money and nicer than certain luxe brands. To make it even better, the fragrance is currently reduced on Amazon to £33.60, down from £43.35 – a 22% price cut!
This fragrance is not like others, either. It’s actually a treatment fragrance, which essentially combines the aromas and skincare benefits of certain plant extracts to soothe and perfume the skin. It has been designed for all skin types, so even if you have sensitive skin, this treatment fragrance will work for you.
The main notes in the fragrance are citruses—think oranges and grapefruits. These are then combined with notes of mint, rose, bay leaves, and musk to create a fresh and aromatic scent.

Alongside those ingredients, the natural plant extracts used come from blackcurrant, beech, and sorbier, which help to leave your skin hydrated, soothed, and radiant after use.
And the fragrance has already garnered glowing 5-star reviews, with one person claiming it their all-time favourite scent. The happy satisfied wrote, “Favourite scent of all time and the best size perfume for the value for money. It is fresh and delightful”.
A second reviewer claimed it smelt similar to a designer perfume, writing, “I’ve not used this particular fragrance before, and wasn’t disappointed it has a beautiful fresh lemony smell and reminded me of Miss Dior”.
A criticism a couple of people have noted, however, is that the lasting power of the fragrance is not the best compared to others. One reviewer wrote, “Smells FANTASTIC. I’m not usually a fan of perfumes since they give me a headache but this one singlehandedly changed my mind. It doesnt last very long however, only 3-4h”. This is definitely something to bear in mind when purchasing.
If you’re looking for a similar citrus fragrance, L’Occitane’s Citrus Verbena Eau de Toilette, £60, is a fantastic alternative. As is Phlur’s Tangerine Boy, £90.
