Club World Cup TV matches, presenters and pundits announced as 23 games free to air

The FIFA Club World Cup will get underway later this week and a host of former Premier League and global stars will be on hand to provide analysis and their thoughts on Channel 5

The FIFA Club World Cup gets underway later this week

Ronaldo will be among a star-studded cast of talent casting their eye over the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, it has been confirmed ahead of the big kick-off.

The tournament, which gets underway on Saturday, will take place across the United States. A host of the world’s top clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester City from the Premier League, will be among the 32 teams competing for the trophy and financial riches on offer.

DAZN are broadcasting the tournament, however, 23 matches will be shown on free-to-air television in the UK by Channel 5.

Among the 23 games are ones involving both Chelsea and City as well as Inter Miami – featuring Lionel Messi – plus Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid. A number of knockout games will also be broadcast on 5, including the final on July 13.

Joining Ronaldo as a pundit will be the likes of John Obi Mikel, Sami Khedira, Shay Given, Callum Wilson, Kleberson, Christian Vieri, Mamadou Sakho and Lianne Sanderson among others.

Ade Oladipo, Kelly Somers, Olivia Buzaglo and James Richardson will present coverage of the tournament with a host of former Premier League stars set to be on co-comms out in the States.

Andros Townsend, Michael Brown, Brad Friedel, Rob Green, Danny Higginbotham, Don Hutchison, Jonas Olsson, Anita Asante have been listed as co-commentators.

5 will broadcast 23 of the 63 games at the tournament with the full schedule listed below:
