Costa Coffee has closed another one of its high street cafes. The coffee chain pulled down the shutters for the final time on its Whitstable High Street in Kent on June 29.
Kent Online reports that the unit which is now being advertised by Caxtons for an annual rent of £35,000. The next nearest Costa is its drive-thru cafe located by the Chestfield roundabout.
This isn’t the only Costa Coffee to close recently after the coffee chain shut its Lyme Regis branch in Dorset on April 24, meanwhile, its Shell Highworth Service station branch also closed on April 20.
Costa also closed its branch on Stockton High Street on May 31, its Bridlington cafe closed on March 2, and the Lyndhurst cafe in the New Forest shut permanently on January 31. But fear not, as Costa still has more than 2,000 branches across the UK.

Costa is also introducing new Cheese Bites, which are golden, crumb-coated bites of melted cheese, served with a tangy tomato chutney, as well as High Protein Chicken Bites, which are crispy breaded chicken bites served with a smoky chipotle BBQ dip.
There is also a new Tiramisu Cookie Sandwich, a rich dark chocolate cookie sandwich filled with a tiramisu-inspired, creamy coffee frosting, finished with icing and cocoa powder.
Costa has also introduced a new Tiramisu Frappe which blends coffee with a tiramisu-inspired sauce, topped with light whip and cocoa dusting.
There is also a Tiramisu Iced Whipped Latte which features the same tiramisu-flavour sauce, topped with velvety whipped coffee.
