The Applied Nutrition Marine Collagen Powder can be purchased from Amazon for £24.90 and it comes in three flavours – Strawberry and Lemonade, Cherry and Apple, and Strawberry and Raspberry. For those who prefer no flavour, there’s also an unflavoured version.
The 300g Marine Collagen provides up to 25 servings and aims to enhance the natural protein in your body that improves the appearance of skin, hair, and nails. It’s suggested to mix the powder with your daily drink or meal for a “healthy” collagen boost.
The Marine Collagen supplement, which is marketed as supporting the healthy functions of joints, bones, and tendons, also does not contain any fat, sugar, cholesterol, purines or additives.
On Amazon, it’s scored a respectable 4.2 out of five stars, although there are currently only seven reviews. Customers seem chuffed with their buys; one even said it “tastes so good”, while another noticed their skin’s elasticity had “vastly improved”.
The brand behind it, Applied Nutrition, boasts an impressive 4.8 out of five stars on Trustpilot, based on over 1,867 reviews.
A gym buff recommended the brand on Trustpilot, praising the taste and mixability of the products: “I’m a long term Gym enthusiast. I have recently found myself organically using exclusively applied nutrition products. I can unbiased say that across board all the product taste great from everything used and purchased. Mixability and quality of the shakes are great.”
They added, “They stock a great range from vitamins to different types of protein sources for individual needs isolates mass gainers whey etc. The branding is there with the signature blue, reliable across board and ‘does what it says on the tin’.”
Another happy customer shared: “I buy from applied nutrition every month if not twice a month sometimes and they have never been disappointing… from service to product 10/10”.
However, not every customer was over the moon with their buys from the brand. A disgruntled buyer noted a shift in the sensory quality of a product, flagging it on Trustpilot: “Protein isolate is not bad, but something is changing, there is no natural flavoring and taste, it has a strong smell and an unnatural taste of vanilla, I also took the same protein before this, that’s why I noticed the changes”.
