Coronation Street star Jacob Roberts has sent fans into meltdown with a shirtless snap, with the soap star looking unrecognisable to his on-screen character Kit Green
Corrie hunk Jacob Roberts, famed for his portrayal of Christopher ‘Kit’ Green, has caused quite the sensation on social media after posing topless in a steamy photo shoot, leaving fans in awe. The actor shared two black and white snaps, the first of which he was smiling into the barrel of the camera as he used a towel to dry himself, and in the second he appeared to be waist deep in a lake, reports OK!.
The soap star donned nothing but a pair of small, darkly coloured shorts, drawing attention to his washboard abs which fans couldn’t help but comment on. One follower penned: “Yes bro the training is paying off”, while another quipped: “Go on the big man looking well son”.
His enviable physique even drew comparisons to a certain comic book hero, with a comment stating: “Ok just a little dip to show off the new shape! ! ! Go ahead Aquaman looking well! Keep doing the damn thing”. Jacob captioned the summer snap “Little dip”, where he was also labelled a “hottie” as well as “yummy”.
Since then Jacob’s Instagram feed has been dotted with a variety of personal highlights, including outdoor adventures through North Wales and appearances at glitzy events like the National Television Awards. In the wake of rumours surrounding the end of his five-year relationship with Amy Harris earlier this year, speculation increased when Jacob removed any trace of her from his Instagram, leaving fans guessing about his current relationship status.
Jacob, who joined the cast of ITV’s Coronation Street as Kit Green in 2024, has been full of praise for his role, remarking: “It’s absolutely amazing… when I walked on set for the first time it felt a bit overwhelming because the attention to detail is just incredible, it actually makes you feel that you are on a real street.”
He also shared his family’s excitement, saying: “My mum and dad are really chuffed too which is lovely. My mum has always watched Coronation Street, I’ve always kept up to date with it too, so it just feels surreal to be here. Meeting all of the cast and crew was great, I really do feel at home here.”
On his character, he said Kit is “going to be a very misunderstood character at first” but assured fans that he “has a good heart”, and revealed: “he has some deep-rooted resentment with his biological mum, Bernie, which will be really interesting to play out.”
