Costa Coffee fans can enjoy the new and returning Christmas menu items from today – and coffee enthusiasts lare buzzing about a returning hot chocolate, inspiring by a favourite festive treat
It’s time to ditch our pumpkin spiced lattes and opt for something more festive as Christmas is just around the corner – and Costa has launched its festive menu for this year.
Costa’s Christmas menu has launched nationwide today (November 7) and customers can expect some returning festive favourites as well as some new additions. Fans have gone wild on social media for this year’s menu items and said they “need” a trip to their nearest Costa.
Sandra Ferreira, Beverage Innovation Director at Costa Coffee, said: “We take Christmas very seriously at Costa Coffee and love creating new festive flavours that delight our customers.”
A new Caramel Nutcracker drinks range has launched – dubbed a “dreamy blend” of caramel, nutty notes and holiday magic by the coffee brand. You can try the new flavour in hot or iced lattes or in a rich hot chocolate. “It’s the perfect drink to cosy up with as you count down the days to Christmas,” a spokesperson for Costa told the Mirror. For those on the go, customers can head to their nearest Costa Express machine to enjoy the Caramel Nutcracker range.
Another favourite is back – the Black Forest Hot Chocolate. Plus, a new way to enjoy the classic has been confirmed – a new Black Forest Frappe. Costa added: “It’s the perfect chilled treat for those who want to sip on something festive, yet indulgent.”
A new Festive Spiced Latte is available, which customers can enjoy their latte (hot and iced), hot chocolate and mocha. The much-loved Gingerbread and Cream Latte is back this year – but now also available in a new iced version. Plus also returning is the Terry’s Chocolate Orange Hot Chocolate. Both drinks are served with a free adorable mini gingerbread biscuit.
One thing coffee fans love about coffee brands at Christmas is the festive cups, and Costa Coffee has introduce brand new festive takeaways cups this year. You will find them in small, medium and large sizes in stores and at Costa Express machines.
Food-wise, there is a new brie and cranberry toastie on the menu. Meat lovers can enjoy a pigs and blankets toastie or the Turkey and Trimmings toasted sandwich. If looking for a cold eat, the Turkey Feast Sandwich is the Christmas go-to. Additionally, the Brie, Bacon and Chilli Jam Panini or the hearty Hog Roast Toastie will be available for the perfect Winter lunchtime bite.
For those with a sweet tooth, Costa has launched a new Chocolate and Caramel Nutcracker Cake – with rich layers of chocolate sponge, filled with caramel frosting, and topped with chocolate hazelnut frosting. Plus there is a new Berry Red Velvet Mini Loaf, -a chocolate and vanilla-flavoured mini loaf, with a luscious, gooey raspberry sauce centre.
Also a new Iced Gingerbread Snowman biscuit, a Billionaire’s Slice and Winer Berry Crumble. Customers will also see the return of the popular Festive Bakewell Tart.
Fans were buzzing after photographs of the treats were shared on popular social media food site New Foods UK. Fans rushed to share their excitement in the comments on Instagram – with many expressing their delight at the return of Costa’s Terry’s Chocolate Orange Hot Chocolate.
“It’s arrived,” said one excited individual. “Terry’s orange hot chocolate is back,” said another excited individual. Another fan wrote: “Happy Days! Terry’s chocolate orange hot choc is back!”
“We need a Costa date,” another wrote as they tagged their friend. “Caramel nutcracker latter – we must try,” said another.
“That’s us sorted for our next Costa catch up,” said one other who tagged a friend too. “Trip needed soon,” said one other. “Oooo red velvet loaf,” said a cake fan.
One individual asked if the After Eight hot chocolate is making a comeback and Costa responded and said: “Not this year sorry!”
