Stylish and cosy sweaters you can wear with jeans, skirts and leggings during the colder months
Roman has launched a winter warmer section on its website, which is full of stylish and practical knits, jumpers, and jackets that are weather-appropriate and fashionable. We have been scouring the pages to find the most wearable items you can rock during the festive season, no matter what you are doing.
Plus, with Christmas Jumper Day this week (December 12), you might find some inspiration in our picks. First up, we spotted this Nordic Print Knitted Jumper Dress priced at £45.
Available in black or grey hues, this will look perfect paired with tights and either heeled or chunky boots. Cut from a soft-touch knit, this classic sweater dress has long cuffed sleeves, a relaxed round neck, and a jacquard Nordic print.

The knee-length dress comes in sizes 10-20. A customer said: “Smart and warm. Feels good to wear. I would recommend a size smaller. The actual sizes are very generous.”
A second added: “Lovely relaxed fit. Warm and comfortable. Love it.”
Another customer liked it but needed to exchange it for a smaller size. They explained: “I ordered in my normal size 12, but it swamped me. I love the dress, though; it’s soft and warm. I reordered in size 10.”
If you are looking for something without a print, this curved hemline knit is a big hit with reviewers. Available in muted green or blush pink, it has buttons down the sides (sizes 10-20).
A customer left a glowing review: “Love this top. It’s a nice lightweight but cosy jumper. I have the green and pink. It’s true to size. I’m a 14 to 16, so I ordered the 14. It’s perfect. The nice length covers the tummy, and the buttons make nice details, too.”
A second added: “I love it so much I bought the pink one too. Fits perfectly – I’m short, but the length doesn’t drown me. The arm length is good; doesn’t fall over my hands, so I don’t have to keep pushing the sleeves up.
“Comfortable weight!! All in all, for me, an excellent buy.”
However, one shopper warns that the material is quite thin, writing: “I like the jumper but it is thinner than I thought it would be. Will look nice with jeans.”
Roman is also selling a unique V-Neck Overlap jumper for £38. It comes in teal, red and black, although sizing is limited in the latter two colourways.
The longline two-tone jumper is finished with button-neck detailing and a wrap-over v-neck style. The sweater has a plush texture and comfy long sleeves.
A buyer rated it five stars, writing: “I have just received this cosy knit. I sized up to a 14 as it looked quite fitted. It is, but a 14 fits well.
“Great colour; I chose the teal. It comes around mid-thigh on me (5ft 4ins).
The sleeves are quite long, but I turned the cuffs back—I need to do this with most sweaters—and it looks fine. It feels warm, but it’s not as heavy knit as it looks in the picture. I am pleased with it.”
Not all customers were pleased. One noted: ” I love the style and colour. However, I’m not sure about the material, as it is very loosely knit, therefore extremely stretchy. I don’t know how it will wash.”
Alternatively, Next is selling a £39 red and white Pattern Knitted Christmas Jumper. It has a classic style and fit that can be worn year on year.
Nobody’s Child is selling a classic Green And Grey Check Cardigan for £89. Its neutral, non-festive design means it can be worn throughout January and February.
