Couple accused of ‘ruining’ Oasis gig in Canada with rude act mid-set

Oasis have kicked off the North American leg of their Live ’25 tour, but fans have accused one couple of ‘ruining’ the show in Canada after they were caught doing something rude

After a sold-out run of 14 shows across the UK and Ireland, Oasis have officially headed across the pond to take their Live ’25 reunion tour to North America. Liam and Noel Gallagher began the second leg of the tour – the first since their explosive split in 2009 – in Toronto, Canada, earlier this week, and will start their five-show tour of the US on Thursday (August 28).

Hundreds of thousands of fans battled to get tickets for the shows, with many desperate to finally see the Wonderwall musicians after 16 years of waiting for them to reunite. But for some upset Oasis fans, their experience at Toronto’s Rogers Stadium was “ruined” – all because of a couple of rude concert goers.

In a video posted on TikTok by a woman named Cameron, she angrily stated that the couple stood in front of her at the Toronto show on Monday (August 26) had completely ruined her night because of the rude act they did mid-concert.

Cameron was standing in the tiered seating area of the stadium for the show and had a great view of the stage.

But she couldn’t see a thing because the man in front of her had lifted his partner onto his shoulders, making them twice the height of anyone behind them.

Sharing a clip of their rude behaviour during Oasis’ rendition of Don’t Look Back in Anger, Cameron wrote: “If this was you at the Oasis concert in Toronto last night, I just want you to know you ruined my night.”

Commenters on the post were on Cameron’s side, too. Many said that while sitting on someone’s shoulders might be acceptable, if still irritating, if you’re in the pit standing section, it shouldn’t be allowed in the seating area.

One person said: “In the stands? In general admission everyone should be prepared for this to happen, but in the stands is crazy business.”

Another added: “Who the f**k goes on someone’s shoulders in seating??”

A third also wrote: “Doing that in the stands is crazy.”

Others said they wouldn’t have hesitated to go and find a member of security to tell them to get down, as they wouldn’t have their concert experience ruined by rude fans when they paid a lot of money to be there.

Someone stated: “Nah. Would have walked off to grab a member of the team to tell them to cut that out. Absolutely no way would I have put up with that.”

As another agreed, writing: “If staff didn’t notice and say anything within the first minute, then they aren’t doing their jobs. It’s not just rude to others, it’s a safety issue.”

There were a few who defended the couple, stating they were just trying to have a good time like everyone else. But most people agreed that “concert etiquette” should dictate that your own enjoyment shouldn’t come at the cost of someone else having their experience ruined.
