Jackie Apostel took to Instagram to support boyfriend Cruz Beckham at his first performance on stage, shortly after his Spice Girl mum fought back nepo baby claims about him
Cruz Beckham’s girlfriend Jackie Apostel showed her support for the musician on social media, as his band performed on stage for the first time on Tuesday night. This comes after Victoria Beckham felt the need to defend her youngest son from nepo baby claims as he steps into the world of music.
Posh Spice’s son Cruz, 20, has been teasing his music over the last few weeks and is thought to have signed with top music management C3, who tend to work with indie artists and bands, such as The Strokes. Following this, Cruz and his band performed their first gig on Tuesday (14 October).
Jackie, 29, posted a series of pictures and videos from the gig to her Instagram, including one where she gushed about her boyfriend’s talent. Sharing a clip of Cruz playing his guitar in front of a crowd, Jackie wrote over the top: “unannounced, just working on his craft, doin his little thing, having fun, learning, preparing, all HIS songs made by HIM played by HIM sang by HIM, absolutely smashing it, I love you.”

She also shared an image of herself watching the stage, and said: “safe to say I did not keep it together”. Another picture was a selfie of her and Cruz, which focuses on their outfits. In it, Jackie is wearing a T-shirt that says “i came for cruz beckham”.
This comes after Victoria Beckham slammed nepo baby claims about Cruz. The former Spice Girl made it clear that she did not help him with his music career and that she “felt sorry” for anyone facing those claims.
She said: “Cruz has got music coming out soon. He’s spent the last ten years learning his craft — much like I did with Roland [Mouret, Victoria’s fashion mentor] — learning to play instruments. He taught himself to play about seven instruments!
“He writes his own songs, he’s put a band together. He’s properly done it from the grass roots up. He hasn’t just come in and sung his songs, or demanded anything.”
She added that she felt her experience in one of the world’s biggest pop groups wouldn’t have helped him anyway. “I mean I can’t really give him any advice — the industry has changed so much. But I told him, ‘Don’t expect immediate success’. It’s almost better if it isn’t an immediate success.
“You know, it’s like with my fashion thing — it’s taken me 20 years to get it to where it is. You’ve got to start small and build it up. And that’s exactly what he’s doing, playing tiny venues, no fuss, doing his thing. I am so proud of him.”
Jackie’s show of support for Cruz also comes after she publicly fought back at a fan who criticised their age-gap relationship. In the comment of a post the model uploaded to Instagram from Victoria’s Paris Fashion Week show, one commenter said: “Why is a 29 year old dating a 20. That’s just weird. I’m talking about Jackie dating Cruz.”
Jackie responded with a series of compliments about her boyfriend: “Because he’s kind, funny, smart, caring, driven, mature, talented, loyal, and also quite handsome.”
