Currys launches raunchy sex toy range that even livens up your commute to work

By staff22 February 2025No Comments2 Mins Read

Currys is most commonly associated with white goods and TV but has now launched a “wellness” technology range of sex devices. Items on sale include ‘Massage Wands’ and ‘Pleasure Stimulators’

Electrical giant Currys, whose current ad campaign is called ‘Beyond techspectations’, has launched a “wellness” technology range of sex fun devices – including one it suggests using while commuting to work.

The company – most commonly associated with white kitchen and laundry goods, TVs and computers – is now aiming to bring thrills to the bedroom and even to journeys to and from work. Its range – which it believes goes beyond sexpectations and will provide great sexpectations, includes ‘Massage Wands’ and ‘Pleasure Stimulators’.

A Currys spokesman said: “At Currys we believe in the power of technology to improve lives and help people stay connected, healthy and entertained. That’s why introducing a sexual wellness range felt like a natural step for us. We’re pleased with how the range is being received and plan to expand it further in the coming weeks.”

Furby fever returns with Heydude’s quirky new shoe line that’s a nostalgic nod to the ’90s

For most of the products it is suggested they can be enjoyed by couples together, such as the remote-controlled egg which allows users “to hand the reins over to their partner”. But it also adds about the product “Whether it’s adding a spark to your bedroom or spicing up your daily commute its body-safe silicone is comfy”.

The company’s £22 Pleasure Cup says it has a “discreet design” so it “won’t draw attention”, while the £30 massage wand has a rechargeable battery “so it’ll always be ready and waiting”. The items are sold with two-year guarantees and some offer different levels and speeds to suit all moods, while many boast of being water-resistant.

The range is only available online. The spokesman added: “Sexual wellness technology can positively impact intimacy and self-care. This launch is part of our commitment to offering innovative new product categories, which we’ve seen strong demand for – it’s not just washing machines and TVs at Currys.

“We sell everything from ice baths to pet tech, and cocktail makers.” Currys isn’t the first mainstream retailer to get into the saucy toys market, Boots has a dizzying array of devices, as does rival Superdrug. And Tesco – slogan Every Little Helps – sells sex aids including a £10 vibrating bullet.
