Model and podcast star Georgia Jones has moved back into the family home after spending time away following her husband Danny Jones’ kiss with Maura Higgins
Georgia Jones has reportedly returned to the family home after taking time away to process the fallout from her husband Danny Jones’ drunken kiss with Love Island star Maura Higgins. The former Miss England, 38, had been staying with a friend while deciding on the future of her marriage but has now moved back into their West London home.
A source close to the couple revealed: “The break has done Georgia a world of good. Being out of the house and with her friend Rose Mahon was what she needed to clear her head. Her relationship with Danny was pushed to breaking point, and they are still trying to work out what they want.”
Danny, who publicly apologized to Georgia following the kiss at a Brit Awards afterparty last month, is said to be determined to repair their marriage. “He has made it clear he will do anything to make it work. He loves Georgia and wants their marriage to get back on track,” the source told The Sun.
As Danny, 38, gears up for a busy summer touring with McFly and Busted, Georgia is expected to return to her Mum’s The Word! podcast soon, with a live appearance scheduled at The Big Feastival in August.
Following Danny’s kiss with Maura, Georgia, who shares seven year old son Cooper with the singer, reportedly packed her bags and left their shared pad to contemplate the future of their marriage.
Insiders claim that the entire ordeal has been “embarrassing” for the mother-of-one, who tied the knot with Danny in 2014. “Danny and Georgia may still be married but they’re not together and she is working out what she wants to do,” an insider told The Sun.
They continued: “She has been hugely hurt and embarrassed by everything and told Danny she needed to get away. She has been staying with her friend Rose since Wednesday.”
Danny has been married to Georgia, a former Miss England, since 2014, and they have a son, Cooper, together. In December he was crowned king of the jungle, after beating TV personality Coleen Rooney, the wife of former England footballer Wayne Rooney, on the ITV reality show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
He opened up about personal issues, including how his father does not speak to him, during his time on the competition, and spoke regularly about his family. Irish TV personality Maura, known for ITV2 dating series Love Island, came into the show late with broadcaster Reverend Richard Coles, and was booted out before the final.
Last year, Danny also came first on the latest series of The Masked Singer and his artist on ITV’s The Voice, Ava, whom he coached alongside his McFly bandmate Tom Fletcher, won the singing competition. The Mirror has approached Georgia’s representatives for comment on this story.
