With the weather warming up, people are thinking about giving their garden a makeover to fully enjoy the sunshine
Debenhams shoppers could get their hands on an affordable garden sofa set that will be perfect for enjoying the summer outside. It is rare for retailers to offer such big discounts, especially as temperatures rise and lots of Brits will be in the market for garden furniture.
The Alivio 5-Seater Rattan Corner Sofa Set is normally sold for £699.99, but there is currently a half-price sale on. While stocks last, this corner set, which includes a coffee table, is now available for £349.99.
Debenhams calls it a “perfect blend of style and comfort” when revamping an outdoor space. It’s made from weather-resistant rattan and comes with “plush removable cushions” that are easy to wash and maintain.

The “luxurious and practical” set claims to seat five people on its 180cm sofa, maximising every inch of small spaces. It has a modular design and can be arranged in whatever way best suits your needs.
The easy-to-clean coffee table with a glass top is the ideal place to keep food and drinks safe from being spilt. The whole set has a dark grey frame that contrasts against the lighter-coloured cushions, making it a versatile choice for any garden design.
Shoppers were thrilled by this set when it arrived. One said: “This was easy to put together, looks fab in my new garden.”
Another wrote: “Delighted with this. As I don’t have a large garde,n it is just a nice size.”
A third shared: “Lovely comfortable garden seating. My husband assembled it with no problems. [It] looks great, has nice quality and was a great value price.”
But, not all shoppers were happy. One claimed: “ Took around an hour or so to put together – [definitely] needs 2 people. It’s not very big and would not sit five comfortably.
“The cushions are really poor quality. The seat ones have already started to go flat after only two or three uses, and the back ones are so thin that you feel the back of the seat through them, and it’s uncomfortable. You need another cushion to support your back! I bought it in the sale. I would not have been happy had I paid full price.”
Another warned: “Don’t be fooled by the photos! This is small and extremely uncomfortable and unable to accommodate more than three people with any room left over!”
