Disneyland Paris has confirmed next year’s opening date for its highly-anticipated new Frozen themed land complete with a Frozen ride, as its Walt Disney Studios Park undergoes a huge transformation
Disneyland Paris has finally confirmed the opening date for its highly-anticipated new Frozen themed land, in what felt like For the First Time in Forever.
Mickey Mouse’s Parisian home will be opening World of Frozen in spring 2026, complete with character interactions, themed dining and, of course, a Frozen themed ride.
Anna, Elsa and Olaf will be on hand to welcome theme park fans into the kingdom of Arendelle, with views of the nearby mountains and Elsa’s ice castle surrounding the new destination.
In fact, the park shared images of the final touches being added to the castle, in a milestone moment for the construction of the new zone. Disney fans won’t be stepping Into the Unknown, as there’s already a World of Frozen at Disney’s Hong Kong park which features Frozen Ever After, a gentle boat ride and rollercoaster Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs. (It’s worth noting that the Disneyland Paris land isn’t expected to have the rollercoaster).

Having decided that its Walt Disney Studios Park, which will be home to Arendelle, is a bit of a Fixer Upper, the new land is part of a wider transformation that will see the park become Disney Adventure World.
On a statement shared on its Disney Parks social media accounts, the company explained: “This opening will also mark the official transformation of Walt Disney Studios Park into Disney Adventure World, where immersive worlds inspired by the most popular Disney stories are brought to life.”
Frozen isn’t the only franchise getting a dedicated world as part of the transformation. Disney Adventure World will also open a new land themed around The Lion King, although there isn’t a confirmed opening date for this one yet.
The land will also feature themed dining and a huge Pride Rock which will no doubt provide plenty of photo opportunities. For thrill-seekers, there’ll be a huge water ride that will take you through the iconic story from the beloved classic, before sending you down a 52ft drop!
If you are thinking of visiting Disneyland Paris, take note that there are two parks. Walt Disney Studios Park is where you’ll find the likes of the Tower of Terror, a Slinky Dog ride and Crush’s Coaster, while Disneyland Park is home to the Sleeping Beauty Castle (complete with a hidden attraction), Peter Pan’s Flight and It’s A Small World.
It’s not the only exciting new Disney holiday set to be on offer for Brits. Disney is also set to expand its Disney Cruise Line later this year and welcome a brand new cruise ship, the Disney Destiny. This sister ship to the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure will boast a ‘heroes and villains’ theme complete with SEVEN pools, a Cruella De Vil themed bar, a Marvel lounge inspired by the Sanctum from Doctor Strange, and a Pirates of the Caribbean themed pub.
