Foodies have fallen in love with Marks and Spencer’s viral cookies and now they’re keen to try a gooey recipe
M&S has wowed shoppers with a bonfire night cookie recipe described as ‘the most insane treat you will try’. The simple recipe requires chocolate spread, marshmallows and two of M&S’ viral milk, triple, and white chocolate cookies, available from the in-store bakery; and it’s proving popular with shoppers.
@mandsstockport amassed over 300,000 views after showing off the gooey treat on TikTok. “Our NEW milk, triple and white chocolate cookies from the in store bakery are absolutely amazing!! Give them a bonfire night twist by adding chocolate spread and marshmallows and they are the most insane treat you will try!” the store wrote, and viewers were quick to praise the idea.
“Perfect perfect perfect,” a fan replied. Another excited commenter joked: “This is more beautiful than my first child will be.” A third wrote: “These are the best, they’re so addictive.”

Someone else simply penned: “Wow,” while someone wrote: “Stoppp.” “Omg,” another answered, and someone said: “Looks divine.” An excited viewer added: “Gotta go to M&S soon.” “My mouth is literally watering,” said another.
A pack of five cookies is available for £2.75. However, shoppers will have to be quick for their best chance to pick up the treats. One disappointed shopper commented: “They are always sold out when I go to M&S.” @mandsstockport replied: “Keep trying! We are baking as fast as we can!”
For shoppers who can get their hands on the viral cookies, the possibilities are endless. Sharing another take on the popular recipe, @mandsstockport suggested trying a hazelnut cream spread when making the ‘smookies’, as they’ve since dubbed the creation.
“You have been loving our upgraded viral bakery cookies which we have turned into smores! Does that make them smookies?! This is our triple chocolate and hazelnut creme version! No one can turn this down!!” the store captioned their post showing off the alternative recipe, which looks just as likely to prove a popular bonfire night treat.
