The pizza giant has designed a new bike to combat the issues caused by potholes
Domino’s creates bike designed to cope with potholes
Domino’s launches pothole proof delivery bike to ensure pizzas can be delivered at the highest standard, trialled along one of Britain’s worst roads for potholes.
The pizza giant has just rolled out a cutting-edge bike – the Pothole Pro Max – engineered to tackle even the most treacherous potholes to ensure your pizza arrives oven-fresh. The new design was tested on the notorious Westgate Road in Beckenham, a hotspot for dreadful potholes, but its advanced G-force suspension and shock absorbers took it all in stride. The vehicle is engineered to reduce G-force by up to 67% using advanced suspension technology. Its built-in oven, dubbed the Pizza Pod, incorporates ventilation compartments to ensure pizzas arrive in impeccable condition.

Domino’s Andrew Scanlon commented: “As the original delivery experts, we are always on the lookout for ways to innovate and push our deliveries to the next level, and we’re super excited to be putting this technology to the test in the UK.”
He added with pride: “At the end of the day, there is nothing more important to us than making sure we continue to deliver piping hot pizza.”
The announcement couldn’t be more apt, as Britain grapples with a pothole crisis. According to recent figures, Brits shelled out an eye-watering £579 million on vehicle repairs due to pothole damage in 2024 alone.
A staggering daily average of 1,762 pothole complaints were also lodged throughout 2024, culminating in a whopping 643,318 reports nationwide over the year.
Dubbed the future of two-wheeled takeaways, the Domino’s Pothole Pro Max promises to keep your pizza orders toasty and intact, no matter the state of the streets.
In a quirky move last month, Domino’s unveiled its own fragrance, enlisting Married At First Sight star Luke Debono to charm pizza fans.
The limited-edition eau de toilette paid homage to its Pepperoni Passion pizza, boasting irresistible notes of spice, pepper and a warm, woody base.
Launched just in time for Valentine’s Day, the promotional campaign saw Luke spritzing his toned physique with the unique pizza-shaped bottle of Eau de Passion.
The former bodybuilder, renowned for his chiselled body and memorable quips on MAFS, certainly made the most of his assets for the camera.
