Donald Trump warns of ‘massive bloodshed’ in Gaza despite ‘very positive’ talks with Hamas

By staff6 October 2025No Comments3 Mins Read

Donald Trump has warned of ‘massive bloodshed’ in Gaza despite ‘very positive’ talks with Hamas as he said the first phase of his 20-point peace plan ‘should be completed this week’

President Donald Trump has revealed he’s been informed that the initial phase of his 20-point peace proposal to halt Israel’s conflict in Gaza “should be completed this week”, urging all parties to “MOVE FAST.”

Earlier this week, President Donald Trump unveiled the “Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict” – a 20-point blueprint demanding the freedom of all Israeli captives.

Hamas has accepted certain elements of the peace framework, including freeing hostages and transferring Gaza’s administration to Palestinian technocrats, though the group wants further discussions on additional matters. Hamas has confirmed its readiness to enter immediate negotiations, according to a statement.

Posting on his Truth Social platform, Trump declared: “There have been very positive discussions with Hamas, and Countries from all over the World (Arab, Muslim, and everyone else) this weekend, to release the Hostages, end the War in Gaza but, more importantly, finally have long sought PEACE in the Middle East. These talks have been very successful, and proceeding rapidly. The technical teams will again meet Monday, in Egypt, to work through and clarify the final details. I am told that the first phase should be completed this week, and I am asking everyone to MOVE FAST. I will continue to monitor this Centuries old “conflict. ” TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE OR, MASSIVE BLOODSHED WILL FOLLOW – SOMETHING THAT NOBODY WANTS TO SEE!”.

However, the group did not address key demands for its disarmament and exclusion from Gaza’s governance, reports the Express US.

When questioned about flexibility, Trump told reporters: “we don’t need flexibility because everybody has pretty much agreed to it, but there will always be some changes”.

Hamas has agreed to relinquish control of Gaza to an independent body of Palestinian leaders, stating that this decision is “based on Palestinian national consensus and Arab and Islamic support.”

The group also noted that other issues raised in President Trump’s proposal regarding Gaza’s future and the rights of the Palestinian people are tied to a unified national stance and relevant international laws and resolutions.

On Friday, Trump announced that Hamas was “ready for a lasting PEACE,” and demanded that Israel “must immediately stop the bombing of Gaza.”

However, just hours later, Israeli airstrikes resulted in at least 20 fatalities. According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, Saturday saw at least 66 deaths and 250 injuries within a 24-hour period.

The Committee to Protect Journalists reports that since 7 October, over 200 journalists and media workers have lost their lives in Gaza. At the same time, Israel has prevented independent journalists from entering the enclave to verify these claims.
