Doritos releases new sweet festive flavour that has some foodies ‘gagging’

By staff9 October 2025No Comments2 Mins Read

A new limited edition Doritos flavour has been spotted on the shelves in Home Bargains and Tesco recently, and it’s safe to say that it has divided opinions among shoppers

October has only just started, and many of us are enjoying pumpkin spiced lattes and adorning our homes with spooky decorations, festive products are already beginning to appear in stores across the UK. Recently, snack enthusiasts have discovered a brand new, limited edition Doritos variety they’re eager to sample.

PepsiCo claims the unusual flavour combination seeks to ‘blur the lines between sweet and savoury snacking’. The crisps, which have sparked debate, have been found in Home Bargains. In a message shared on the New Foods UK Facebook page, it revealed: “Limited Edition Gingerbread Doritos spotted at Home Bargains.” Curious about the new snack, one person commented: “Might get some tonight.”

Meanwhile another who has sampled them, remarked: “Strangely works, unlike other sweet crisps I’ve tried in the past.”

Another agreed: “They’re delicious,” whilst someone else commented: “Will get these for Christmas.”

Nevertheless, not everyone is persuaded. Responding to the New Foods UK post, one individual remarked: “Mmmm, love Doritos, love gingerbread but gagging at the thought of them together.”

Another concurred: “There’s a line to not cross and they’ve crossed it with this.” Someone else stated: “They are awful, had them already.”

Another uncertain about the variety, remarked: “Doritos are my favourite crisp. And I love gingerbread… but I don’t know if I like the sound of them together. Although, M&S do cinnamon ones which are delicious! So these might just be OK.”

Some eagle-eyed shoppers have also spotted the limited edition crisps in Tesco, but they’ve been flying off the shelves.

In other gingerbread-related news, a sugar-free Gingerbread Pepsi Maxi drink has now hit the shelves in Tesco. The new beverage is said to be spiced with a warming twist on the original.

Plus, it’s expected to taste similar to the discontinued Pepsi Max Ginger – a flavour that had its own dedicated fan base.
