TikTok user @neat.caroline is seen grabbing the base of the towel and rolling it up with the clothing item inside, she also offered further tips if speed was of the essence
A home cleaner has come up with a super fast way to dry your clothes in winter without the need for a clothes drier. The TikTok user who calls herself @neat.caroline proceeded to share her tips and show her followers how they can quickly dry their clothes,.
“Here’s a really easy way to dry your clothes fast. Lay a towel down flat. Place your wet garment at the base here. Gonna do the burrito method.” She instructs viewers to “place a garment on the towel” and is seen grabbing the base of the towel and rolling it up with the clothing item inside. She adds: “Then you’re going to press down on the towel with your knees to wring out excess moisture.”
The Caroline is then seen unrolling the ‘burrito’. She says: “You can just hang the shirt on your drying rack and it will dry in a couple of hours rather than overnight.” Her clothes drying tips continue in her video: If you really need it very fast grab a hairdryer and just start drying.” She captions her video saying it took her 1 minute.
She adds that the hack is ideal if you are on the move. She says: “This is a great method to try if you are travelling and you’ve hand-washed something but don’t have a dryer at home or your dryer is broken.
The Mirror told of another clothes drying hack where Shannon, known as @lifewiththetomkins on Tik Tok confessed she’s been trying “to cut costs” and has, therefore, reduced her use of the tumble dryer. She revealed her home isn’t particularly spacious, making it difficult to find room for drying clothes.
But she found a clever solution that she’s eager to share with her followers. She suggested using an over-door space-saving airer, which can be divided into three sections and hung over a door. She demonstrated how she drapes her laundry over it to facilitate drying. She posted: “Its 3-tier adjustable shelves mean that there is plenty of room to hang your laundry!” This allows you to dry your clothes easily and save money, and by not using the tumble dryer, you could even turn off the heating to further reduce costs in your home, freeing up a little bit of cash for the things that are important to you.
Shannon also advised that, if possible, people should “hang your airer upstairs” rather than downstairs. But why is this? The TikTok user divulged a nifty tip: “Heat rises, which means it will help dry your laundry quicker,” ensuring your garments are ready to don in record time, saving you waiting around for your favourite top to be ready for when you’re meeting pals
