A teen has been killed and another two injured after a horrific knife attack in Dublin.

A suspect wielding a knife is said to have plunged a knife into a victim at Grattan Wood in Dublin’s Donaghmede area this afternoon, leaving one teen dead and another with serious injuries.

A large group of people, both male and female, are said to have been present at the incident.

A number of them ran away when the stabbing started, the Irish Times reports.

The injured parties were rushed to a nearby hospital.

Gardai have arrested the suspect and a murder investigation has now been launched. According to Dublin Live, the parties involved the attack were “teenage juveniles” with foreign citizenship.

Images from the scene show a large police presence as forensic investigators search for evidence.

In a statement, the Irish police (Gardai) said: “An Garda Síochána is currently responding to a serious ongoing incident at a residential location in Dublin 13 today, Wednesday 15th October 2025. As this is in its early stages, no further information is available at this time.”
