As the cooler nights draw in, many shoppers are looking for the perfect blankets to keep them nice and cosy as the weather gets colder. While traditional fluffy throws can be great, an electric blanket takes warmth a step further – and Dunelm has a heated throw that could be ideal for keeping the cold at bay.

The Teddy Electric Throw, priced between £40 and £75 depending on the size required, has adjustable heat settings that keep users at the perfect temperature. It’s got a plush teddy bear texture that feels soft and snuggly, and it’s also machine washable so it can be kept fresh, use after use.

Shoppers can choose between two size options: 160cm x 130cm for £40, or 200cm x 200cm for £75. Plus, there are a range of colours available, including grey, olive green, redwood and cream.

If the Dunelm blanket isn’t calling out to shoppers, they could try the Electric Heated Blanket Throw for £29.95 from Amazon. This one comes in grey and has a nine-hour timer.

If shoppers fall asleep while the blanket is on, it can automatically shut itself off. It’s also got nine different heat settings for personalised comfort.

Alternatively, Lakeland has the Double Dual Control Dreamland Scandi Heated Sherpa Underblanket Full Bed for £114.99. This is designed to sit on top of a mattress and heat up a bed before getting in for the night.

It has elasticated corner straps to keep it secure overnight, and it is double-sided with a white sherpa side for the coldest nights and a smooth polyester side, too.

However, the Dunelm Teddy Electric Throw has a high 4.5-star rating from happy shoppers. One buyer said: “A lovely warm snuggly throw.

“The material is lovely and soft, and it has lots of settings to choose from it will be wonderful to use when you just can’t warm up.” Another said: “Lovely olive green throw, great quality, heats up fast.”

A third added: “Product is better than expected, and the bargain price made it even better! Delivery was quick and efficient.

“A great experience.” However, some found it wasn’t right for them.

One said: “Did not like the material the throw was made from.” Another added: “It’s okay, but once on for a while, it doesn’t stay at a warm temperature for very long, compared to other makes.”
