Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is now in jail awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, sexual assault and other crimes

Ellen DeGeneres’ tweet about P.Diddy has resurfaced as stunned fans ask “how is this still up?”

The TV show host’s tweet from November 2016 has been rediscovered eight years later while Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is in jail awaiting trial for a number of crimes. However, many have pointed out that Ellen’s posts should no longer be online.

The tweet reads: “Happy birthday, P Diddy, Puff Daddy, Sean Combs, or as I call him, Cuddle McSnugglestuff. You don’t need to know why. @iamdiddy.” The person who reposted it, simply commented: “How is this still up?”

Other followers left sarcastic comments below, with one saying: “The account manager out of town,” with another writing: “She better not try to delete this neither.” The resurfaced tweet comes as Combs was taken to jail awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, sexual assault and other crimes.

It was revealed that he had already joked about being arrested 25 years before he was. In a resurfaced clip from an interview two decades ago, the 54-year-old US rap mogul spoke about the infamous celeb-studded ‘white parties’ – which have also been dubbed ‘freak parties’.

He would throw the parties at his mansions around the world, including Beverly Hills, the Hamptons and the South of France. Well-known names who attended the parties include Jay-Z, Jennifer Lopez, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ashton Kutcher, the Kardashians, Paris Hilton and the late R&B singer Aaliyah.

It was reported that they would turn into drug and champagne-fuelled sex parties. Speaking about the ‘hottest ticket around’ parties back in 1999, Diddy told a journalist: “They won’t even give me a permit for the parties. They don’t want me to throw parties no more.

“But we ain’t gonna stop. We’re gonna keep having fun, bringing people together from all walks of life. They’re going to be shutting them down. They’re probably going to be arresting me, doing all types of crazy things, just because we want to have a good time.”

More details of Diddy’s parties emerged during his court appearance last week, where a judge refused to grant him bail, despite him offering to pay $50 million. The 14-page indictment claims Diddy created a “criminal enterprise” that “used force, threats of force or coercion” to make female victims engage in lengthy sex acts with male sex workers at the parties, which reportedly lasted days.

Diddy’s lawyer Marc Agnifilo said the rapper, who denies the charges, is innocent and what happened during the ‘Freak Offs’ was consensual.
