Erling Haaland makes Jack Grealish feelings VERY clear after latest Everton display

By staff31 August 2025No Comments4 Mins Read

Jack Grealish bagged two assists for the second game running against Everton and he’s already capturing the attention of team-mates at Manchester City following an impressive start to the season

Erling Haaland has wasted little time heaping praise on Jack Grealish following his start to life at Everton. The Manchester City forward has compared the loanee to former team-mate Kevin De Bruyne after an impressive outing against Wolves.

Grealish joined the Toffees on loan from City ahead of the start of the season. And the 29-year-old has already looked like an incredible signing after his first two Premier League starts.

The former Aston Villa ace was the provider for Beto’s opening goal against Wolves, was key in the build up to Iliman Ndiaye’s effort before once again turning provider as Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s impressive strike sealed victory for Everton. In doing so Grealish became the first Everton player to assist two goals in consecutive Premier League appearances for his new side.

And Haaland was more than happy to celebrate Grealish’s return to form after he made just seven starts for Manchester City last term. The Norway sharpshooter delivered a simple but impactful message by comparing Grealish to the second-biggest assist-maker in Premier League history.

“Jack De Bruyne does it again for Everton,” Haaland posted on social media.

It appears a sentiment that Everton boss David Moyes could agree with as the Scot lauded his new star. Moyes has a better player than he anticipated when completing the signing.

“He is even better than I thought,” said Moyes. “He probably needs a bit of love and attention. He needs the games as well. Hopefully he starts building on it and he gets even better as the season goes on. He is making a big difference. Whether it is his assists, his presence, lots of things.

“So all credit to him. He is playing the minutes he may not have had in recent years. You know, he’s so good. What Jack gives us is something just on the edge, which, hopefully it’s on the edge of creativeness and maybe scoring goals.”

Asked about Grealish hitting the ground running, Moyes added: “It’s nothing to do with me, let me tell you – it’s all to do with Jack and his own mentality to be better. There’s a wee bit to prove, I’m sure – I think we all have.

“I think in life, you’ve always got something you have to strive to do. And I think Jack wants to show that he’s a good player. I think he’s showing it at the moment.”

And Grealish is also having a good time with the Toffees. “Ahhh really really enjoying it!!,” he said on Instagram. What a team and club. Away support was unreal! 3 out of 3 in the last week! Come on you toffeessss.”
