EuroMillions biggest ever jackpot scooped by one lucky ticketholder

By staff18 June 2025No Comments3 Mins Read

A lucky lottery player has won EuroMillion’s biggest ever prize of £208million this evening, it has been confirmed – making them instantly richer than Harry Kane and Dua Lipa

A lucky lottery player has won EuroMillion’s biggest ever prize of £208million, it has been confirmed.

Tonight’s National Lottery EuroMillions winning numbers are: 13, 22, 23, 44, 49 and the Lucky Stars are: 03, 05. Fever has been recently high for the lottery as the weeks have been rolling over and, with it, the jackpot getting bigger and bigger.

The EuroMillions prize pot is capped at €250m (or £208m), with players having five prize draws to win the life-changing amount. Despite the one lucky winner, players have been reminded to check their tickets in case they are eligible to win a smaller pots of the prize money.

Last week, although no one scooped the EuroMillions jackpot, four ticket holders, including one from the UK, each won over £4.5 million. While three UK ticket holders also won over £20.6k each.

Meanwhile, one lucky player claimed the £500,000 top prize in the Thunderball draw. Tonight’s took place at 8pm and the winning numbers are 2, 6, 12, 17, and the Thunderball is 7.

The winner of the Euromillions jackpot is based in Ireland and is now richer than footballer Harry Kane and pop star Dua Lipa – worth £115 million and £110 million respectively – and be on par with names from The Sunday Times Rich List 2025. It remains to be seen whether or not they will stay anonymous or go public.

“The EuroMillions jackpot of 250 million euro has been won in Ireland,” the Irish operator said on X.
In total, more than 92,000 players in Ireland won prizes in the EuroMillions and Plus games.

Three ticket holders, two from the UK, each won over £6.2m, and four UK ticket holders also won over £16k each. In total, there were 3,959,141 winners in tonight’s draw, with 1,257,592 from the UK. Overall, at total of £18,483,776.20 has been won in the UK.

Winners of over £10m give away, on average, a quarter of their win (24.5%). A further 91% report that they give time and or money to support a charity, while 10% say they have made someone else a millionaire.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at Allwyn, the National Lottery operator, said last Friday: “Tuesday will see the incredible £208 million EuroMillions jackpot still up for grabs. A win of this magnitude would create the biggest National Lottery winner this country has ever seen.

“Get your tickets early to ensure you’re in with a chance of a massive life-changing win.” The UK’s biggest-ever lottery winner was on July 19, 2022 when someone won a staggering £195,707,000. They opted to remain anonymous.

While the biggest UK winner that went public was Joe and Jess Thwaite who won £184,262,899.10 a couple of months before on May 10. Winning big hasn’t always brought happiness though it seems.

Colin Weir and his wife, Christine, hit the jackpot in 2011 when they won a staggering £161million on Euromillions – the biggest at the time. The couple are Scotland’s largest ever lottery winners and generously shared their wealth, donating large sums to worthy causes.

Colin also poured money into his beloved football club, Partick Thistle, and splashed out on an array of cars and properties. The couple, who had been together for 38 years, then split up in April 2019. Colin sadly died from sepsis in December 2019 – by which time his fortune had dwindled by £40 million.
