FatFace’s ‘beautiful’ Adele dress you can wear two ways is ‘perfect for hot days’

By staff30 June 2025No Comments4 Mins Read

The Adele dress has long been a hit with FatFace shoppers, and now the brand has reimagined it for 2025. This best-seller now comes in a new design, which wearers can style two ways

A comfortable and versatile midi dress is one of the best investments a fashion lover can make, perfect for effortless summer dressing or layering in the cooler months. Just in time for summer, one of FatFace’s most popular styles has undergone a makeover, and it’s now got a genius feature that means there’s even more ways to wear it.

FatFace’s Adele midi dress has long been a hit for the brand, with many customers buying it in multiple colours over the years – myself included, owning it in three shades: black, navy and pink. But new for 2025, it’s had a redesign that gives shoppers two dresses for the price of one.

Priced at £69, the updated version of the dress comes in five colours, including orange, black, dark green, plum and bright red. With a shirred bodice, it retains the same level of comfort its wearers already know and love, but has had some updates to make it even more versatile.

Designed to be worn two ways, the Adele now features a reversible neckline, with a ‘flattering’ V-neck with button detailing on one side and a more classic square cut like the original on the other. This gives wearers the opportunity to change their look with minimal effort.

Crafted from a blend of 30% cotton and 12% linen, this dress promises a breathable, lightweight feel that’s just perfect for the height of summer, now featuring a sleeker silhouette with the bottom tier removed for a non-frilled hem. It retains its practical pockets, discreetly tucked into the sideseam for functionality regardless of how it’s worn, reports MyLondon.

Adele Dress

The beloved Adele dress is back and ‘better than ever’ – now featuring a flattering V-neckline on one side and a classic square neckline on the other, button details, side pockets, soft elasticated sleeves, and a gently structured bodice.

Despite these updates, not everyone is thrilled, as some devotees of the Adele Dress miss the previous iteration. One customer expressed disappointment: “I loved last year’s Adele Dress, but this year’s version is ever so slightly different, with less fabric on the skirt and the ‘frill’ at the bottom is no longer there. I ordered the red and it’s a lovely bright true deep red – great. The V-neck button front is nice. But it’s the skirt that’s been an issue for me. So, unfortunately, I have had to return.”

Nevertheless, the dress has won over many with its fusion of comfort and chic design. Shoppers have lauded the high-quality material, the variety of hues available, and the flattering fit, calling it ‘well-fitted’ and ‘versatile’.

One shopper said: “Very comfortable to wear,” while another commented: “Lovely dress, good fit and colour very nice.

“The dress is beautiful and very comfortable,” praised another. “The mid length is perfect. Fabric is light and perfect for hot days.”

Meanwhile, one added: “A stylish vibrant colour well fitted dress! The material is good quality in this very versatile dress. Thank you FatFace another wonderful winner.”

Elsewhere, for a sleeveless but equally chic option, Nobody’s Child’s Blue Shirred Bodice Billie Midi Dress comes in at £79. Coming in light blue, this midi dress features an all-over shirred bodice for the perfect fit and also has pockets for added practicality. At New Look, this Black Gingham Print Embroidered Frill Sleeve Tiered Midi Dress is currently on offer for £32.39 down from £35.99.

However, for me, the Adele dress is the ultimate versatile piece. With more shoppers seeking wardrobe items that offer value for money, this FatFace frock certainly delivers. Perfect for weekend outings, office days, or summer evenings paired with a denim jacket and sandals, it’s the kind of dress that adapts to any event or occasion. Now, all I need to do is decide which colour to purchase.
