The celebrity celebrated the launch of Cloud Nine’s new hair straightener by sharing tips to fans on acheiving her famous hair styles including beachy waves and sleek bob

Loose Women’s Frankie Bridge has revealed a quick way to style her hair within minutes using nothing but a hair straightener. The 35-year-old, who has become fans’ fashion icon thanks to her weekly “fave’s edit”, is also a brand ambassador for British brand Cloud Nine, which has just released new versions of hair straighteners.

Frankie was invited to try the new hair tool and she was impressed by the new “revive mode” function for frictionless styling.

In an Instagram post shared, her hairstyles changed from a glam wavy bob to a sleek bob and a natural beach wave. She said: “For the first couple of shoots, we have gone for a straight, sleek bob. I literally turned up this morning with my hair wet in a tiny, little ponytail and Will helped me to transform this.

“So first we blow dry this…” she explained and turned to Will, the hair stylist, and asked: “What straightener did you use?”

Will, who is not comfortable doing an Instagram video and can be seen giggling, answered: “I use the Cloud Nine Wide Iron…I’m so sorry.”

Retailed for £229, the new and improved Wide Iron has 11 heat settings ranging from 100°C for fragile strands that need some TLC, to 200ºC for very thick and coarse hair that’s stubborn to straighten.

But the unqiue feature is the Frictionless Revive Mode, which can prevent inconsistent heating as it activates “Axial Vibration” technology which vibrates the plates at 8,000 times per minute – minimising friction, drag, and exposure to direct heat while the plates glide through hair – to deliver maximum shine and protection.

The vibrating plates move up and down to distribute heat evenly across the hair. This prevents hot spots, unlike regular straighteners with static plates that can clasp unevenly.

Cloud Nine offers a temperature calculator for customers to find out the right temperature for hair styling to reduce unnecessary heat damage.

Frankie also added: “I believe healthy hairstyling should be accessible to everyone, so when I learned that Cloud Nine was upgrading its tech and rolling out Revive Mode further, I was so excited. Now everyone – regardless of their lifestyle and hair concerns – can set their straightener to the right heat for them, achieving the styles that make them feel amazing without compromising their long-term hair health. I can’t wait to see everyone’s results!”

But some had a few suggestions to make, with one recommening: “I thought they would have been better , I find the grip poor.” Another said: “Definitely not a good as my previous one. For some reason it does not smooth my hair as well.”

Others enjoyed using the Revive Mode as one mentioned: “I like the vibrating plates – it does not drag my hair like like others I’ve had in the past and thanks to the temperature calculator, I’m surprised to find out my hair is best for 150C heat.”

GHD’s Platinum+ hair straightener, £239, offers smart technology to maintain 185C optimal styling temperature for 70% stronger hair, 75% more shine, and two times more colour protection.

Silk’N’s SilkyStraight uses infrared technology and flexible floating titanium plates to reduce styling time and heat damage to the tresses.
